硕士学位论文 m a sr e r s t h 上s l s 内容摘要 ( 由于不同文化所提供的语用顸设常会造成理解上的失误，近2 0 年来， 国内外很多语用学家们在这个领域作了大量的研究。但纵观这些学者对跨 文化语用学的研究，对跨文化语用失误的理论分析还多停留在g r i g e - 的合 作原则，l e e c h 的礼貌原则以及b r o w n 和l e v i n s o n 的面子理论啄本文拟 用关联理论这一新的认知科学对跨文化语用失误的本质及其原因进行分 析，一方面旨在证明关联理论对跨文化语用失误现象有极强的诠释力，另 一方面为促进交际法教学提供新的依据。 f s p e r b e r 和w i l s o n 的理论研究并没有涉及到跨文化交际领域。而是以 同一文化背景下的交际为主。关联理论的框架是否可以用来支撑跨文化语 用失误的研究是本文讨论的一个重点。关联理论对语用学的定义是这样的： 语用学是研究普遍认知原则、话语理解能力及其所产生的语境效果的一门 学问( s p e r b e r a n dw i l s o n ，1 9 8 7 ) 。这个定义表明交际的失败与成功取决于交 际者对话语理解的正确与否。w i l s o n l 9 9 4 年在他的r e l e v a n c ea n d u n d e r s t a n d i n g 一文中也提n -
