事实证明，伟大的作品通常都有其丰富的创作源泉。并且，对于作品 的内容和其创作源泉深入全面的理解也为对他们的比较研究打下了坚实的 基础。因此，这两部作品的主要内容和来源就构成了第二章的主体部分。 f 每一部作品都要忠实于产生他们的时代，因为不同的社会历史背景对 、j 他们的作品总是有着极为深刻的影响。于是这两部作品的不同之处就显而 易见了。首先，他们表达的主题是不同的：长篇叙事诗拉弥亚讲的是 女主人公拉弥亚对于爱情如火的热情和不懈地追求，不幸的是由于自身的 软弱，这种爱最终遭到冷酷无情的理教的破坏而夭折。而白蛇传的主 题讲的是以白素贞和小青为代表的中国妇女不屈不挠的追求自由和幸福， 反抗封建压追的坚强意志。通过对比两部作品我们还可以发现：无论是在 其象征性的结尾，在作者的写作意图，还是在作品里面的美所赋予的理想 中，其不同点是显而易见的。除此之外，两部作品中作者对于女性角色所 持的态度也是截然不同的：白蛇传中田汉对于白素贞是支持、赞美、颂 扬的态度；而济慈对拉弥皿的态度却是从一开始的带有讽刺意味的含糊不 清到后来的同情直至清晰的赞美。也许这一点与作者的写作意图是分不开 的。白蛇传迎合了中国观众扬善惩恶的口味而济慈对于拉弥亚的前后不 一、含糊不清的态度是个人感情的表达，与他本人那段时间的爱情生活是 分不开的。文章第二部分除了分析了作品的以上几点不同之外，两部作品 现出的执著、富有人性和热爱自然、回归自然的特点也被描述得栩栩如生。、 本章最后一节，作者试着找到不同国家不同时代的两部作品存在如此 多相同之处的原因所在。在此，作者在做了对比研究的基础上试着用原型 的理论来加以解释。至于不同点，作者认为可以归因于作品产生的不同历 史社会背景。同时，文学是一种文化的记忆，因而比较文学研究也就变成 了不同文化之间对话的记录并通过我们的努力来缩短他们之间的距离。总
