手葡姜 批评性话语分析形成于2 0 世纪7 0 年代，由f o w l e r 等人在1 9 7 9 年出版的语言 与控制一书中提出。批评性话语分析是在功能语言学理论基础上建立起来的一 种语篇分析模式。它旨在讨论语篇中所隐含的意识形态或权力关系，揭示意识形 态对语篇的影响。在现实生活中，意识形态由于普遍存在而为人们所习惯，渐渐 变成非意识形态的常识。批评性话语分析旨在显现这些习惯化的常识中的深层含 义，以揭示意识形态与语篇的关系。批评话语分析的研究对象主要是大众语篇， 例如电视、广告、报刊、政治宣传、官方文件和法律法规等。研究的课题包括性 别和种族歧视、教育、就业和法律方面的不平等、战争、核武器与核力量、政治 策略和商业行为等等。通过对上述各类语篇的分析来揭示那些不易被人们觉察的 语言与意识形态之间的关系，以及权力阶层如何运用语言来影响人们的思想意识 以维护自身利益和现存的社会结构。 新闻语篇作为一种大众语篇，是人们认识世界的主要手段之一，它影响着人们生 活的方方面面。但新闻报道从来就不是绝对客观公正的，它受着各种社会文化因 素甚至个人因素的影响。许多英语新闻语篇看似客观公正，实则含而不露地表达 各种意识形态意义，对读者产生着潜移默化的影响。 本文以神舟七号飞船着陆新闻报道为例，选取来自美国纽约时报和中国人民日报 的两篇相关报道为语料，利用系统功能语法中的分类，及物性，名物化，被动化， 情态动词，转述语，主位选择等分析手段进行分析，以揭示隐藏在语篇背后的意 识形态并试图提高读者的批评语言意识。 本研究第一章介绍了新闻的定义、写作的背景、意义及文章结构。第二章回顾了 批评话语分析的发展历史，介绍了批评话语分析的核心概念“意识形态”，批评 话语分析的研究目的，研究对象，分析原则。第三章介绍了作者在本文中运用的 基本理论和分析工具。这些基本理论和分析工具主要源于韩礼德的系统功能语言 学。第四章运用第三章介绍的基本理论和分析工具对比分析了从美国纽约时报和 中国人民日报选取的两篇神舟七号的报道。第五章总结了本篇论文中的主要发 ac r i t i c a ld i s c o u r s ea n a l y s i so f n e w sr e p o r t s f o c u s i n go nc
