内容摘要 翻译是一项做选择的过程。鲁迅先生有一段名言“动笔之前， 就先得解决一个问题，竭力使它归化，还是尽量保存洋气呢? ”在翻 译过程中，译者总是面临着是以源语文化为导向，还是以译语文化为 导向。是保持原文的异国情调，还是追求译笔的归化地道，一直是译 界的争论不休的问题。 屏化与归化的争论在中外译界历史久远，但至今仍未达成一致 弋 结论。柯平认为归化的翻译方法能使译本更生动形象，更具感染力， 他提出译者应用译语文化中的表达方式来取代源语文化中的表达。中 国译坛知名人士瞿秋白也主张采用归化的译法，认为翻译应当用中国 人口头上讲得出来的白话来写了 ，一 关于异化，鲁迅先生有一段名言：“凡是翻译必须兼顾两面，一 当力求其易解，一则保存原作的丰姿。但是这保存又常常和易懂相矛 盾，看不惯了。不过他原是洋鬼子，当然谁也看不惯，为比较顺眼起 见，只能改换他的衣服，却不该削低他的鼻子，剜掉他的眼睛。” f 西方译界，奈达主张归化的翻译策略，韦努蒂则成为异化翻译的 f 忠实捍卫者。 长期以来，异化与归化之争总是围绕着“异化与归化两种翻译策 略孰优孰劣? 异化与归化各自的优势何在? 。但是，翻译界人士 对以下问题，如“为什么译者选择这种而非另一种翻译策略? ”，“在 特定的场合下译者应选择哪种翻译策略? ”，“依据目的语文化与源语 文化的关系应用这两种翻译策略的一般原则是什么? ”所给予的关注 却微不足道，即使偶有提及，也只不过是只言片语或寥寥几笔。译者 在翻译过程中如果对这些问题考虑不够，随之产生的对异化与归化这 两种基本翻译策略的态度也难免有失偏颇。 事实上，异化与归化两种翻译策略各有优劣，各有得失。作为翻 译方法和策略，二者都有其不同功能。考虑到不同的翻译目的、文本 类型作者意图以及读者对象，以上两种方法都能在目的语文化中完 毋。 成各自的使命，因而也有其存在的价值 在这篇文章中，作者试图从另一个角度分析异化与归化这两种翻 译策略。以现代翻译理论如多元系统论、翻译目的论及接受美学理论 为基石，对宏观与微观层面上影响译者对翻译策略进行选择的因素以 及异化与归化在实践中应用的一般规则做一详尽全面的分析研究，从 而希望有助于调和关于处理翻译中文化因素的争论，即“异化”与“归 化”之争，为译者在翻译时如何选择恰当的翻译策略提供一些参考性 建议。
