摘要 诗歌是语言的精华，意象是诗歌的灵魂，意象再现是诗歌翻译的关键。中国古典诗 歌不仅以其丰富隽永的意象成为中国文学园地中的一朵奇葩，同时还对其他民族诗歌的 创作与欣赏产生了深远的影响。无论是日本的俳句还是西方的意象派诗歌都从中国古典 诗歌的意象创作中得到了很大的启发，这些都为中国古典诗歌翻泽中的意象再现打下了 良好的基础。因此，中国古典诗歌的英译不仅是必要的，而且是可行的。本文以中外学 者研究的成功经验，综合运用“以诗译诗”的诗歌翻译理论和仿译理论，通过个案分析 的形式，探讨和揭示中国古典诗歌翻译的“意象再现问题。 文章首先对中外翻译理论界针对诗歌可译性与否的探讨，以及三种不同诗歌翻译流 派进行综述。从形式与内容两方面对中国古典诗歌进行文体学角度的分析，并辅以例证 的说明，为中国古典诗歌翻译研究打下基础。文章同时明确了中西方意象的渊源与界定， 对诗歌中意象的类型与组合方式作以说明。其次，通过对诗歌名篇枫桥夜泊五个不 同译本的分析与对比性研究，探讨如何翻译中国古典诗歌。作者综合了“以诗译诗”与 仿译两种诗歌翻译理论，认为中国古典诗歌的翻译，译文应保持诗歌这一文体形式，忠 于原诗的精神，充分再现原诗的意象。再次，文章探讨了诗歌枫桥夜泊原文及英译 本中的诗意美。中国古典诗歌具有极高的审美价值，意象组合的独特方式赋予了中国古 典诗歌独特的美学特征。美学因素是诗歌翻译中的重要环节，诗歌翻译应该充分再现原 诗意象及其组合的画卷美，和谐美与模糊美。总而言之，作者认为意象是诗歌的灵魂， 意象再现是中国古典诗歌英译的关键，为此译者应该使用恰当得体的措辞，准确，简洁 地再现原诗的意象，传递意象的文化内涵，带给译文读者与原文读者同样的审美感悟， 再现原诗的意象之美。 关键词：古诗英译，可译性，意象再现，简洁，意象之美 a b s t
