i c a t i o n ：h 0 6 3 摘要 英语己成为一门世界通用语言，其运用之广勿庸置疑。在这种形 势下，大多数中国人渴望通过学习英语来了解外部世界同时也用英语 向他们介绍自己的社会。在学英语的过程中，英汉词典是一个不可或 缺的工具。英汉词典的编纂已有一百多年的历史，在这期间，出版了 许许多多英汉词典，他们对促进中外文化交流作出了巨大贡献。 传统的词典编纂学一般把汉英词典看作是生产性的而英汉词典则 是理解性的，因为汉英词典主要起帮助中国读者查找英语对应词、使 用英语的作用而英汉词典主要起帮助中国读者查找英语生词、理解英 语的作用。但要说、写地道的英语仅依赖汉英词典中的对应英语词是 永远不够的，一些信息诸如语法、用法等也对使用英语起着相当重要 的作用。事实上，大多数读者都希望英汉词典带有此类信息，并借助 这利，词典，积极地掌握英语、使用英语。这里，我们把以生产性为目 的而编纂的英汉词典称为积极型英汉双语词典。单语英语学习词典如 牛津高级英语学习者词典( o x f o r da d v a n c e dl e a r n e r jd i c t i o n a r y d 厂c u r r e n te n g l i s h ) 和朗文当代英语词典( l o n g m a nd i c t i o n a r yo f c o n t e m p o r a 0 ，e n g l i s h ) 可以说起到了帮助学习者说写地道英语的目 的，它们的英汉双解版更是受到了中国读者的欢迎，但是这类词典并 不是据中国学习者的具体情况而编纂的，一些中国学习者所需要的信 息往往被忽视。所以很有必要编纂积极型英汉双语词典以满足读者 使用英语的需要。 国外学者对积极型词典的探讨已经有几十年的时间，而我国的研 究则起步于9 0 年代。本文将讨论积极型英汉双语词典编纂中最基本 的一些要素。 第一章概述了英汉词典发展一百多年多历史，英汉词典的发展分 为三个阶段：仿效：半仿效：独立研编。第二章论述了双语词典中最 重要的部分：对应词。通过对英汉两种语言对应性的分析，提出了寻 找汉语对应词的原则以及如何在词典中把他们列出。第三章论及积极
