恩小说赎罪中各类衔接方式的处理，旨在说明衔接研究对于翻译实践的重要 意义。 根据韩礼德和哈桑的分类，英语中常用的衔接手段共有五种，分别为指称、 替代、省略、连接和词汇衔接。针对各大类中的每一小类，本文均配以详细阐述 及大量实例，并运用英汉语中相关衔接手段的异同特点，检验例子中的衔接翻译。 对比分析发现，衔接研究对于原文的综合理解至关重要，因而常在翻译实践中发 挥决定性的作用。
