结 业 报 告Title: The report for the course of foreign countries tourism题目: 涉外旅游英语文化教程结业报告学生姓名 学号 班级 授课教师 2011年 6 月16 日Course summaryIn the condition of the rapid development of global tourism, the increasing requirements for senior foreign tourist talents in the international market, and based on the employment background of English major students, the Foreign Languages Institute was revised the employment plan for students who entered ECIT in 2008, adding this course as an optional courses. This book is divided into six chapters, and each of them includes general view, culture, and tourism. The three contents cover many aspects such as natural landscape, human landscape, cuisine culture, social conventions, national culture, international holidays, history, famous cities, and famous sites.Chapter one is talking about tourism and culture of Asia. The continent of Asia is the worlds largest and most populous continent with nearly 4 billion people calling Asia home. Asia contains the worlds most populous country, China. Asia borders Africa and Europe to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Asia is rich in diverse races, cultures, and languages. Many of the worlds major religions came out of Asia including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Asia has a major influence on world culture and the worlds economy. Countries such as China, Japan and India produce products and services that are used by every nation in the world. Asia is also abundant in natural resources. Oil in the Middle East is a major supplier of much of the worlds energy.Chapter two introduces culture of Europe. Europe is the sixth largest continent in size and the third largest in population. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the south, Asia to the east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Europe is a wealthy and is the center of the west and western Democracy. Europe has been the home to some of the earths greatest civilizations from Ancient Greece to the Roman Empire. It is also the home to the birth of Democracy. It hosts a large number of sovereign states, whose precise amount depends on the underlying definition of Europes border, as well as on the in-or exclusion of semi-recognized states.Chapter three is about Africa. Africa is the worlds second most-populous continent. At about 30.2 million km including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earths total surface area and 20.4% of the total land area. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Chapter four is talking about tourism and culture of North America. North America is the northern continent of the Americas, situated in the Earths northern hemisphere and in the western hemisphere. It is bordered on the north by the Arctic Ocean, on the east by the North Atlantic Ocean, on the southeast by the Caribbean Sea, and on the west by the North Pacific Ocean. South America lies to the southeast of the continent. North America covers an area of about 24,709,000 square kilometers (9,540,000 square miles), about 4.8% of the planets surface or about 16.5% of its land area. As of July 2008, its population was estimated at nearly 529 million people. It is the third-largest continent in area, following Asia and Africa, and the fourth in population after Asia, Africa, and Europe.Chapter four guide us for tourism and culture of the South America. South America is the southern continent of the Americas, situated in the Western Hemisphere and mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere. It is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the north and east by the Atlantic Ocean; North America and the Caribbean Sea lie to the northwest. The South American nations that border the Caribbean Seaincluding Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, and French Guianaare also known as Caribbean South America. South America has an area of 17,840,000 square kilometers, or almost 3.5% of the Earths surface. Its population as of 2005 has been estimated at more than 371,090,000. Most of South Americans still speak Spanish and Portuguese is the primary language of Brazil.Chapter six make us know tourism and culture of Oceania. Oceania is a region centered on the islands of the tropical Pacific Ocean. Conceptions of what constitutes Oceania range from the coral atolls and volcanic islands of the South Pacific or the Pacific zone. Its main countries are Australia which is an island country and continent in the south-west Pacific Ocean, and New Zealand which is a country in the southern Pacific Ocean consisting two large islands.My proposal for the courseThanks for Miss.
