摘要 曼蔓曼皇曼曼曼皇曼曼曼曼鼍曼皇曼- ；一i i i i_ i i i 一一曼蔓舅曼舅 摘要 礼貌是各文化、各社会所共有的普遍现象。在承认礼貌的普遍性的同时，我们还必 须认识到礼貌的文化特性。也就是说，由于文化价值的影响，表示礼貌的方式方法以及 人们用以判断礼貌的标准会因文化而有所不同。随着不同文化背景的人频繁接触，文化 差异及其导致的误会与冲突日益突出。因此本文在对比分析汉英民族对礼貌的不同理解 的基础上，提出在汉英跨文化交际的过程中应以“入乡随俗”为原则指导人们的礼貌行 为，并根据交际中不同的“文化大背景，文化小背景”来选择具体“入哪个乡，随哪个 俗”以及把握“入乡随俗”的度的问题，旨在最大程度上避免礼貌引起的语用失误。 全文共分六章。 第一章介绍礼貌的定义，本文研究的意义及其写作结构。 第二章回顾中外学者对礼貌的研究成果，主要介绍三大礼貌理论利奇的礼貌原 则，布朗和列文森的面子论，以及顾日国的汉语礼貌原则。 第三章追溯礼貌在英汉文化中的起源和历史背景，探讨因文化价值观的差异而导致 的对礼貌的不同理解，从而说明礼貌的文化特性。 第四章在从三个方面对比英汉礼貌原则的本质特征的基础上，阐述“入乡随俗 原 则以及把握“入乡随俗 的度的问题，以避免跨文化交际中引起的语用失误。
