玛丽雪莱是十八世纪末、十九世纪初英国浪漫主义时期重要的女性作家，是著名 的浪漫主义诗人雪莱的妻子。弗兰肯斯坦是她的成名作，奠定了她作为英国1 9 世 纪初期重要小说家的地位。弗兰肯斯坦是一部多主题的小说，涉及科学，伦理，生 态，女性，家庭等诸多方面。该作品自1 8 1 8 年问世以来，便广受大众的喜爱和评论 界的关注。 本文基于福柯的权力理论，从小说的文本细读入手，分析和解读弗兰肯斯坦这 部作品。福柯的权力论中的断裂、不连续、裂缝以及权力关系和权力斗争的论点，对于 理解和分析主导意识和被压迫意识极为重要，因此本文从代表两种不同意识的两位主人 公( 维克多与怪物) 的反叛与妥协两个方面，研究弗兰肯斯坦中的人物形象塑造。一 方面，通过对维克多所反映的阶级矛盾冲突、性别歧视，以及对人类对自然反叛做深入 剖析；另一方面，通过对怪物体现的对维克多的仇恨、对社会的不满，以及对爱的渴望 而导致的反叛做细致的解读，充分表现出在权力关系网中，众多矛盾的形成，激化以及 高潮。通过缜密地分析两位主人公的反叛过程以及被迫最终走向妥协的过程，矛盾最终 解决，表现出个人对世间平等，和谐的追求与渴望，这正是福柯权力思想的完美体现。 本文共分五章，第一章全面总结介绍了玛丽雪莱的生平和作品，并且指出本文的研 究目的和意义以及论文结构安排。 第二章分两节，第一节简要介绍了弗兰肯斯坦的批评历史和国内外的研究现状。 第二节对福柯的权力理论进行了概述，阐述了本文采用福柯的权力理论分析方法的独创 性及其可行性。 第三章分为两节，分别讨论了两位主人公维克多和怪物的反叛。第一节主要从三个 方面对维克多的反叛进行了详细论述，主要表现在：阶级矛盾、性别歧视以及自我堕落； 第二节从三个方面对怪物的反叛进行了说明：怪物对维克多的仇恨、对社会的不满，以
