成都理1 。人学顺 ：学位论文 语境及其在阅读理解中的应用 摘要 语境是语用语言学中一个重要的概念。正确地理解语言的内在含义离不开语 境。它是e 确理解语言的基础，尤其是对语言深层含义的理解起着举足轻重的作 用，因为人们总是不同的环境下运用不同的言语来表达自己内心的思想感情。然 而，人们对语境的概念并不是很了解，认为语境似乎是一个包罗万象的概念。多 数的语占学家对语境的概念没有达成一致意见，他们几乎部是从自己的，不同于 别人的角度分析和研究来对语境进行分析和探讨。鉴于此，本文对语境概念的历 史发展，功能和作用进行了详细地剖析，分析了语境的本质并对其内涵做了界定， 探讨了各种语境因素及其分类，认为语境跟语言的使用紧密相关的，它不是一成 不变的，而是在话语过程中不断变化和发展的，它在正确地解读阅读材料方面起 着非常重要的作用。 本文把语境分为语言语境和非语言语境。简单地说，前者指的是影响语言意 义的语言内因素，包括单词，词组，前后文等等语言内部因素；而后者是指在特 定情况下影响语言实际使用意义的语言外部因素，包括文化道德因素，社会习俗 和社会背景以及语言产生的时间，地点和特定的心理条件等等。语言语境可以进 一步分为语音语境，语法语境，词汇语境和语义语境：非语言语境也可分为情景 语境，文化语境和认知语境。本文还集中阐述了阅读理解的本质和过程，并分析 读者如何在阅读理解过程中来利用语境理论更好地理解阅读材料。在五个方面的 阅读理解过程中，每个过程都与语境是分不开的，都需要语境的参与才能更有效 率地加速对阅读材料的理解。然而，要想充分发挥语境的功能作用，必须要考虑 到阅读材料的语境充分性。如果材料的语境因素不够充分，那么语境的积极作用 就会被减弱甚至无从谈起。因此本文以实例论证了在阅读理解过程中语境充分的 必要性。实际上，对于好的阅读材料，它们的语境基本上是充分的，因为那是文 章好坏的一部分。好的阅读材料总是脉络清晰，往往会提供众多易推敲之线索： 反之则不然。 借助语境理论知识，本文重点阐述了语言语境与非语言语境对阅读理解中的 作用。读者可以利用这些语境知识来解决在英语阅读理解中出现的各种问题。本
