中文摘要 k a p l a n 提出的“对比修辞假设”开辟了二语写作研究的新篇章，该假设认为说不同 语言的人们由于受到特定文化思维模式的影响而在写作中呈现出不同的修辞模式。并 且，当二语学习者在进行二语写作时，其母语中的修辞模式会消极地影响二语写作，使 二语写作呈现出不同于以该语言为母语者的写作修辞模式。这里的修辞模式有别于“修 辞方法”，而是指文章中表现在段落中的意义的排列模式或逻辑模式。 本文通过一项实验设计，收集、分析并对比了3 0 位对外经济贸易大学英语专业二年 级学生在学期初和学期末所写的同题说明文各3 0 篇，总结出英语写作初学者的课堂英 语写作中的如下特征： 1 、在整个篇章的修辞模式中，演绎修辞模式和归纳修辞模式并存，但以归纳修辞 模式居多。 2 、段落的组织结构呈现出明显的“启承一转一合”模式。 3 、文章入题较慢，多数文章没有主题句，或者主题句不完整、观点不明晰。 4 、写作中诸如设问句、叙述性的口语化现象较多。 5 、多数文章以号召性语句结尾而不是对文章进行总结。 以上这些修辞模式特征不符合英语写作教科书中所提倡的行文方式。然而，这些学 生在经过为期三个月的英语写作修辞训练之后，在写作修辞模式的把握上有了较大的提 高，并且更加接近母语作者。通过发放跟踪调查问卷以及对英语教师进行采访，笔者发 现二语学习者在用英语进行课堂写作时，对于使用哪种修辞模式不仅受到母语思维模式 的影响，也受到英语写作课堂教学的影响，同时，个人的英语水平以及写作练习的情况 也限制着二语写作的发挥。 本文通过定量研究证明文化思维模式并不是影响二语学习者写作修辞模式的唯一因 素。其次，无论是亚洲文化还是美国文化，都同时存在归纳和演绎修辞模式，这两项结 果证明了k a p l a n 的最初论断的局限性。 这项研究对英语写作教学的意义在于它从侧面反映了当前高校英语写作教学的不 足之处，尤其是对学生在英语修辞、逻辑等方面的理论学习重视不够，并建议在英语写 作教学中注入英语修辞学、对比修辞学等知识。 本文的创新之处在于采用多种分析方法对写作文本进行多层次、多角度的分析，、并 通过对比得出结论：另外，本研究所选择的文本是英语专业写作初学者在课堂上所写的 英语说明文，这有别于以往的研究。
