Location：Introduction of Yuhang Located in Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain in the north of Zhejiang and the south end of the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou, Yuhang is in the center of Yangtze River Delta. As the cradle land of Liangzhu Culture, which is often regarded as the “Dawn of Chinese Civilization”, it is often called “hometown of fish and rice, house of silk, garden of flowers and fruits and land of multiple cultures”. The total area of the district is 1220 square kilometers. It has 14 towns, 1 rural town and 4 residential communities with total population of 819000. It has been the 15th in the list of Top 100 Counties (Cities or Districts) of China in Comprehensive Development Evaluation. With picturesque landscapes, Yuhang has very rich natural and historical heritages. The tea saint Lu Yu, the great poet Su Dongpo and the famous inscriptor, calligrapher and painter Wu Changshuo all left their footprints on the land of Yuhang. It goes from the 40th positions in 1994 to the 15th position in 2005 in the list. In 11 years it goes 25 steps up and the development trend is still going on.Industrial economy is the main body of economy, financial income and employment in Yuhang, and it is also the base for social and economic development in Yuhang. Yuhang promotes economy to make its people rich and make itself a “District of Strong Economy”.In 2006, Yuhangs GDP reached 34.992 billion yuan, 21.2% increase over last year, GDP per capita of the district reached US$ 5400, 23.6% increase over last year, the total fiscal income reached 5.018 billion yuan, in which, local fiscal income was 2.746 billion yuan, 21.2% and 19.24% increase over last year respectively, the total industrial production reached 96.182 billion yuan, 22.55% increase over last year, the industrial production of large enterprises reached 73.181 billion yuan, the district had 61000 international tourists, 31% increase over last year, the foreign currency income from tourism was US$ 13.324 million, 31.8% increase over last year, the district had 3.195 million domestic tourists, 15.1% increase over last year, the tourism income from domestic tourists was US$ 2.637 billion, 20.1% increase over last year, the average disposable income of the citizens reached 18870 yuan, 11.9% increase over last year, the average net income of farmers reached 9615 yuan, 1078% increase over last year. The Engel index keeps on dropping. One can really enjoy the life of paradise in Yuhang.Ecosystem：Located in the old town Tangqi, Chaoshan is one of the three most famous places to enjoy plum flowers. Chaoshan plum flower is famous for its oldness, strangeness and wideness. Tang Dynasty Plum and Song Dynasty Plum, 2 of the 5 ancient Chinese plum trees in Chaoshan, still bloom in early spring together with other plum trees to make tens of miles of colorful snow of flowers.
