itiswellworthspendingtimeinthecreationofgoodvisualaids.butitisequallyimportantnottooverloadyouraudiencesbrains.keeptheinformationoneachvisualaidtoaminimum-andgiveyouraudiencetimetolookatandabsorbthisinformation.remember,youraudiencehaveneverseenthesevisualaidsbefore.theyneedtimetostudyandtounderstandthem.withoutunderstandingthereisnomunication.audiencereaction remaincalmandpoliteifyoureceivedifficultorevenhostilequestionsduringyourpresentation.ifyoureceiveparticularlyawkwardquestions,youmightsuggestthatthequestionersasktheirquestionsafteryourpresentation. languagesaywhatyouaregoingtosay, simplicityandclarity ifyouwantyouraudiencetounderstandyourmessage,yourlanguagemustbesimpleandclear.useshortwordsandshortsentences.donotusejargon,unlessyouarecertainthatyouraudienceunderstandsit.ingeneral,talkaboutconcretefactsratherthanabstractideas.useactiveverbsinsteadofpassiveverbs.activeverbsaremucheasiertounderstand.theyaremuchmorepowerful.considerthesetwosentences,whichsaythesamething:toyotasoldtwomillioncarslastyear.
