Unit 5 My futureLesson 26 What will I be? 教材分析本课的教学内容是第五单元的第二课时, 内容主要涉及介绍理想。课前先让学生自己介绍自己的理想, 课上学生通过小组合作的形式相互交流, 课后学生制作年刊图页。在学习过程中, 学生根据自身优势畅想未来, 并且为了实现理想而努力奋斗。 教学目标【知识与能力目标】记忆单词page, pilot, fear, height, model短语a fear of heights, stop (from) doing, take steps to。 【过程与方法目标】Reading and speaking【情感态度价值观目标】让学生通过本课的学习, 了解一些职业, 拓展知识面, 并培养学生努力拼搏、积极进取、为实现梦想而努力奋斗的意识。 教学重难点【教学重点】学习一些用于介绍理想的句式: Maybe Ill be an airplane pilot. I would help people travel all around the world. Or maybe Ill be an engineer and build planes. 【教学难点】通过本课的学习培养学生综合运用语言的能力, 有效提高学生听、说及阅读的能力。 课前准备图片,PPT 教学过程Step. Lead inLeading in 【情景1】Get the Ss to think about the following questions and talk about them in class: What would you like to be in the future?Why?T: This lesson is about Tiantian. She is writing her page for the yearbook about what she will be in the future. Do you know what a yearbook is?Look at the picture and read. 设计意图让学生根据25课课后完成的作文来谈论这一话题, 为进一步学习新课和谈论做好铺垫。Leading in 【情景2】Ask the students to talk about their future. They may refer to the following patterns. Show the following on the PPT. PPTMaybe I willI may beI might beS1: Maybe I will be a teacher in the future. S2: I may be a pop singer. Then I will sing everywhere and get very rich. S3: I might be a doctor. I will help many sick people. I will be very happy to help others. T: Well done. Help the students to answer the questions and understand the meanings. T: Would you like to be a pilot? Why or why not?S1: Yes, I want to be a pilot because it would be fun. /No, I dont want to be a pilot because it would be scary. T: Do you have a fear of heights? What will you do to overcome it?S2: No. /Yes. I will climb tall mountains. /I will climb tall trees. /I will take a ride in an airplane. 设计意图用图片展示新单词, 让学生可以对形象生动的图片产生深刻的印象, 激发学习兴趣, 调动多种感官参与到学习活动中来, 更好地理解单词的意思以及在语境中的用法。Step . Listening 1. Play the tape for the students. Ask them to fill in the blanks with the words they hear. (1) Tiantian thinks being a pilot is a job. (2) People travel to see their families, for or just for fun. Ask the students to read the lesson silently and answer the questions of Exercise 1 in “Lets Do It!”. 设计意图培养学生的阅读能力, 让学生深入了解课文内容, 能够使用简略答语正确回答问题, 并掌握新词和短语。2. Play the tape again and ask the students to follow the tape. After reading the text, ask them to underline the sentences expressing hopes and wishes. 设计意图让学生养成阅读的好习惯, 跟读标准语音, 注意主要句子的重读和停顿。3. Explain the following sentences. 教材解读1. Maybe Ill be an airplane pilot. maybe为副词, 意为“可能、也许”, 通常用于句首; may be是“情态动词may+系动词be”, 意为“可能是, 可能在”, 用于主语后作谓语。Maybe you are right. =You may be right. 你也许是对的。【拓展】副词 maybe 可单独用作答语, 但 may be不可以。Do you think hell come back?你认为他会回来吗?Maybe/Maybe not. 也许会回来/也许不会回来。2. I have a fear of heights, but that wont stop me from being a pilot. have a fear of相当于be afraid of, 意思是“害怕, 担忧”。have a fear of heights 表示“恐高”。stop sb. from doing sth. 表示“阻止某人做某事”, 相当于stop sb. doing sth. 。The heavy rain stopped us from coming on time. 这场大雨使我们不能按时到达。3. I can take small steps to overcome my fear. step意为“措施, 脚步”。She took a few steps towards the window. 她向窗户走了几步。【固定搭配】take steps to do sth. 采取措施做某事。You should take steps to stop him playing computer games. 你应该采取措施阻止他玩电脑游戏。4. I might build a new type of plane someday. People would feel safer and more comfortable in my plane. 句中的might和would都是情态动词, 表示一种想像、假设和可能性。I would fly to England to visit my friends this summer. 我想今年夏天飞到英国去看望我的朋友。He might be an airplane pilot in the future. 他将来可能会是一名飞行员。someday也可写作some day, 常用作副词, 意为“将来的某一天, 总有一天”, 通常用于一般将来时态中。feel safer and more comfortable 表示“感觉更安全、更舒适”, safer 和 more comfortable 分别是 safe 和 comfortable 的比较级, 和系动词feel 构成系表结构, 表状态。Step .
