课题: starter unit 1 good morning! period 1 生词课teaching and learning goals:by the end of the class, the students can:1.use the following curriculum words correctly: good, morning, hi, hello, afternoon, evening, how, are, you, i, am, fine, thanks, ok.2.use the following useful expressions correctly:hello! hi! good morning! good afternoon! good evening! how are you? i am fine. im ok. thanks. 3.read the following non-curriculum words: hb, cd, bbc, alice, bob, cindy, dale, eric, frank, grace, helen.4. learn how to memorize the words in different ways and how to work individually and in groups.teaching and learning steps: step 1learn to read the words on p 941. students read the words using the phonetics by themselves and underline the words they cant read.2. divide the whole class into several groups. each group has 4 students. there are 29 words in this unit, so every student reads 78 words. while one is reading, the others in the group try to correct the pronunciation. 3. make sure each group read all the words at least one time. then ask individual students to read the words. others follow them to read the words. teacher tries to correct the pronunciation. 4. play the tape recorder and ask students to repeat after the tape.5. show the word lists on ppt. this time, boys will compete with girls to read the new words. if they know how to read the words, just stand up and say the words out. if the boy says it correctly and firstly, boys will get one score. after competing, well see boys or girls did better. good, morning, good morning! hello, afternoon, good evening! how are you? im fine, thanks. hb, bbc, alice, dale, frank.
