认知视角下的英汉时间及情感隐喻比较研究 摘要： 隐喻不仅仅是一种简单的语言现象，更是一种认知现象，这一点在莱考夫的概 念隐喻理论( c o n c e p t u a lm e t a p h o rt h e o r y ) 中得到了较为完整的阐释。概念隐喻 根植于客观的经验，并非是随意组合构建的。隐喻以经验主义哲学作为自己的方法 论，以意象图式作为认知经验的基础。在运作机制上，莱考夫提出映射原理，即将 一个熟悉易于理解的源域的框架投射到一个抽象较难理解的目标域上。 隐喻的认知功能可以帮助我们组织概念系统，从全新的角度认识事物。时间和 情感都是人类生活中的基本要素，均具有高度的抽象性，也都要依赖于隐喻加以理 解。 本文依据概念隐喻理论，探讨了中英两种语言中有关时间和情感的隐喻表达。 通过对由于历史、习俗、环境等因素造成的中英两种文化中对于时间和情感隐喻的 不同表述的比较分析得出如下结论：莱考夫的概念隐喻理论对英汉时间和情感隐喻 的研究具有实际的指导意义：研究还证明，尽管英汉时间和情感隐喻在浅层面上的 差异是明显的，但其所表达的潜在时间和情感概念大多是一致的。 隐喻无处不在，人类语言充满了各种各样的隐喻，对隐喻进行专门研究有很多
