为一名黑人，同时也是一名美国人的“双重意识”。但他对代表 美国主流社会的白色世界充满向往却对代表自己种族的黑色世界 感到厌恶。通过分析，本文得出结论：由于白色世界对比格的排 斥，以及比格对自己黑色世界的抛弃，比格成了这两个世界被边缘 化了的局外人。没能找到归属感的比格，在当时的美国社会中处 于一种双重边缘状态。 通过本文对小说的研究，我们能进一步理解该小说以及了解 2 0
