摘要 作为现代主义小说的先锋代表，弗吉尼亚伍尔夫在主题探索和形式创新两个方面 为现代主义小说的发展做出了杰出贡献。伍尔夫的代表作之一海浪成功地体现了主 题与形式的完美结合。该小说在问世之初因其晦涩难懂并没有引起评论界的重视，但随 着现代主义批评的发展，伍尔夫在这部小说内容上的深刻性和形式上的实验性越来越受 到关注。 长期以来，评论界对海浪的研究基本上只针对其内容层面，即使有少数有关叙 述技巧的分析也仅仅停留在对时间的特殊运用等较狭窄的层面，伍尔夫这部典型的现代 主义小说的空间性一直没有引起足够的重视。由约瑟夫弗兰克提出的现代小说的空间 形式理论为海浪的空间性研究提供了重要的理论依据和分析方法。本文以弗兰克的 空间形式理论为基础，以伍尔夫的小说海浪为研究文本，对小说中的空间形式进行 系统的研究，以期发现弗吉尼亚伍尔夫在这部小说形式创新上所做的新贡献，揭示这 部小说独特的艺术性，同时探讨伍尔夫如何在形式创新的同时达到内容和形式的统一。 本论文共分六章。 第一章“引言”由四个部分组成。第一部分简要介绍了弗吉尼亚伍尔夫的生平、 文学创作及对海浪的影响。第二部分回顾了国内外对海浪的研究现状，并在此 基础上提出了本论文研究的目的和意义。第三部分简要对基于弗兰克现代小说的空间 形式的空间形式理论、实现空间形式的主要方式进行了综述。第四部分是本论文的写 作目的和意义。 第二章到第五章分别从四个方面详细对海浪的空间形式进行研究。 第二章主要针对海浪的叙述时间层面，分别从碎片化叙述和延续性叙述两种方 式对伍尔夫在时间上的创新和空间形式的实现进行探讨。 第三章主要从意象和象征的角度分析了两者如何在海浪中营造了复杂的空间形 式并实现了人物性格塑造和主题揭示的目的。 第四章从并置的角度分别对故事并置、人物并置、叙述时间并置和人物视角并置四 个方面如何在海浪中实现了空间形式进行了分析。 第五章通过海浪中主题重复的探讨来分析小说空间形式的形成。 第六章作为“结论”部分首先对论文所作的分析和讨论进行了总结，同时指出：对 海浪的空间形式的研究和分析，不仅能够丰富对小说内容的阐释，还能发现伍尔夫 在海浪形式层面上所蕴含的对社会现实和个体生命的关注。最后，论文还指出了本 研究存在的不足，并对今后的研究提出建议。
