Go for it Grade 9 Unit 7 Where would you like to visit ?Section A(1a-2c)说 课 稿 自贡第十八中学校 王晓兰 Good afternoon, everyone. Im from NO.18 Middle School of Zigong. My name is Wang Xiaolan. The lesson plan Im going to talk about is from Grade 9 Unit 7 Where would you like to visit ?Section A (1a-2c). The plan includes seven parts:Part one: Analysis of the Teaching Material1. 本单元的中心话题是Vacations, 通过本单元的学习,要求学生能够谈论自己想去的地方,并学会介绍旅游景点,同时了解世界各地的一些名胜古迹。因此,国家和旅游景点的介绍,不仅在本单元占据主导地位,也是训练学生口语表达能力的良好素材。根据新课标对学生交际能力的培养,尤其对学生口语及听力能力的要求不断提高,以及农村学生的实际情况,我将本课设计为一堂听力会话课。 2. Language goal: talk about vacations3. Sentence structures:Where would you like to visit (go on vacation)? -Id like to visit Florida. Why ? -I like exciting vacations. -I like the place where . 4. vocabulary:tiring ,educational, fascinating, peaceful, thrilling, take it easy, trek , jungle.Part two: The important and difficult points1. The important points:Talk about places Ss would like to visit and the intentions.2. The difficult points:Use the sentences freely which Ss have learned and improve their spoken English.Part three: The design of teaching aims1. Language goalslearn the sentence structure “would like to do sth” and consolidate the language points by practicing.2. Ability goalsEnable the Ss to talk about places they would like to visit.3. Emotion &attitude goalsLearn about some scenery spots around the world. Enable the Ss to love the nature.4. Strategy goalslet Ss take part in the class activities, train the team work and listen to the key words. Part four: Analysis of the students初三的学生经过两年的新课程理念的熏陶及实践,有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力以及初步的自主、合作、探究、实践的能力。因此采用活动教学法和Role playing的学习策略,让学生在活动中自主地学习新词汇、重点句型;自主地完成任务,提高解决问题的能力及综合运用语言的能力。 Part five: The teaching methods and aidsu Communicative, audio-visual and task-based” teaching methodsu Multi-media Part six: Teaching stepsIll finish this part in five steps. Step one: Talk about some scenery spots and review some adjectives.1. Lead-inAfter greeting, Ill let students read some new words of unit7.2. Review the key wordsIll show some pictures of different scenery spots one by one on the screen. Meanwhile Ill use “what do you think of ” to review some adjectives.3. PracticeVacabulary FallsWhen I point to a Chinese word, Ss should spell and read out the English word.Make sentencesLet students use “I would like to Because ” to make sentences.Purpose of my designing: I think using pictures and making sentences are good ways to review and remember words.Step two: Listening (1b: P52) and Pair work (1c: P52) 1. 1a and 1b Before we do the listening exercise, Ill discuss the two pictures with students in 1a and do the exercise in 1a.Then do the listening exercise in 1b.2. Pair workUse a game Winter vacation is coming! and ask students to make a travel plan according to the pictures of the scenery spots. Then make some conversations with their partners.Purpose of my designing: let Ss practice spoken English according to the pictures and their daily lives.It can make Ss learn it well.Step three: Listening practice (2a, 2b: P53) and pair work (2c: P53)1. 2a and 2bLet students turn to page 53 and read the four sentences in 2a. After listening to the tape, write the numbers in front of the sentences to show the correct order. Let Ss listen again to finish 2b and check the answers.At the same time, explain some language points.3. Pair workUse a gameGuess guess guess Let students guess the four cartoon characters dream vacations to practice Attributive Clauses. Then let students talk about their dream vacations.Purpose of my designing: This step let Ss have a chance to practice their listening and spoken ability.
