Bad air makes people ill. We must have fresh air to keep us in good health.In the city, there are great many people and there are too many cars running on the road. The gas the cars spread out is full of poison. Every day we breathe it in and out. This makes us feel sick. Besides so many cars, there are many factories, too. From the chimneys of these factories, we get smoke usually in black or grey colour. This kind of smoke, when it is mixed with air ,is dangerous to our health. So in order to keep us healthy we have to go out to the countryside to breathe more fresh air. Or we can go up hills to get more fresh air.3There was once an honest boy in a mountain village. He liked reading very much, but his family was too poor to buy him any books. In a village far away, there lilved a rich man who had a library. He kept all kinds of books in it. This man liked making friends with honest children. When he learned this, the boy went a long way to ask the rich man to lend him some books. The man said to the boy, “you can borrow any books if only you keep them tidy and return them in time.”For many years the boy always finished reading the books in a given time and was never late in returning them. In this way the boy read quite a lot and when he grew up he became a great scientist.4We are always using body language in our daily communication. When we talk with each other, we may use body language. For example, in the USA, people point to their heads when they think someone is clever. However, human beings are not the only ones who use body language. Animals also use body language and facial expressions to tell each other how they feel and what they think.When a dog is happy, its ears will stand up and its eyes will be wide open. When it is angry, it will look straight at you. If an elephant spreads its ears, it means “Watch out!” To show friendship, elephants will touch each other with their trunks. Dolphins live in groups and like to show each other their feelings. An angry dolphin will sometimes slap its tail on the water. A happy dolphin will play with its friends, making small jumps into the air.
