Unit 3 Shopping for food Lesson 1I. Teaching aims:At the end of the class, students will be able to:1. recognise,read and use the four location words as follows: oranges, pears, grapes, candy, potato chips, butter, tofu.2. master and use the dialog patterns:Where are the ? Are they above/ below/ in front of/ behind the ? Yes. /No. They are .II. Language Focus:Understand,ask and respond to suggestions about location.III. Teaching Materials:CAI, A tape recorder,Pictures,RealiaIV. Teaching Steps:Greetings. T:Whats your favorite food?Wow!You like so much food,I guess you definitely like parties,yes? Lets watch a short video about a party,ok?And then you find out the places of the four things.T: Wheres? Where are?2. Show a picture to check their answers and introduce the four sentences:Theyre above the cabinet.Theyre below the table.Theyre in front of the bags.Its behind the door.Practice “above ,below ,in front of ,behind”with the things,the people in our classroom one by one.Wheres the book?Its above XXX. Wheres XXX?Hes below the book. Wheres the desk?Its in front of Miss Wang. Wheres the desk?Its behind Miss Wang. Where are the teachers?Are they? No,they are behind us.3. Look at the PPT:Listen and say. Then show the dialog patterns:Where are the.? Theyre Wheres the?ItsB. Practice. Give Ss two minutes to practice in pairs and then check some pairs.4. Show a shelf and introduce :This is my supermarket,theres a lot of food on the shelf. Could you help me find out some things? T: Where are the bananas?T: Are they above the apples/below the milk/in front of the pears/behind the pears ? Ss: Yes. They are behind the pears.5. Show a picture: Mom (a picture)Chuck(a picture) What are they doing?They are talking. Lets listen and then put some fruit pictures (grapes,oranges,pears,apples) on the correct places according to their talk. Invite some student to come front and put the pictures onthe correct places.6. Show the dialogs.(P33) Role play(boys and girls).7. D. Practice. Complete the blanks. A: Where are the pears? B: Are they above the peaches? A: No. Theyre oranges. B:Are they below the grapes? A: Lets see. Oh,yes,they are.Have Ss read it quickly and quietly .Lets enjoy a song. Now,you have got a supermarket that belongs to you,show me your supermarket,OK?Can you make dialogs with it?Check some pairs.9. Show a picture.Candy and potato chips are at the top. We eat a little or a lot?Below them are chicken,cheese,fish,eggs,milk,we caneat some. At the bottom are bread,rice,noodles, we eat a lotor a little?Because theyre healthy. Grapes/ potato chips?Where is the candy /tofu/ butter?教学反思:我教授的是外研社小学英语第五册第三单元Shoppingforfood第一课时。本节课是一节新授课,重点学习有关food的词汇及在超市购物使用的日常会话。虽说课上完了,但留给我的思考并没有结束: 一、感觉以下几点是我比较满意的地方: 1.本节课教学目标明确,主要是教授8个生词,以及在超市购物的情境对话。 2.巧妙的导入,使本节课直接切入主题。我先让学生齐唱歌曲Doyoulikeicecream?并与学生进行有关食物的freetalk,让学生尽可能地去回忆曾经学过的食物类单词。接着通过创设情境,有朋友要来我家玩,因此我要去超市购物,引出今天的主题Shoppingforfood. 3.在最后的makeadialog环节中,我采用了Minisupermarket设置了一个购物的情境,让学生在比较真实的情境中使用所学的句型进行对话练习,呈现当堂课所学的内容。 二本节课有待改进的地方: 1.情境导入效果好,但是生词教学脱离了原先设置的情境,如果能在情境中一并教授完,效果会更好。 2.课堂用语不够精简,导致部分学生不能够准确的理解。 3.部分活动的实效性不够,应该省去。如,在操练生词时采用的guessinggame,应该给学生一些提示,否则范围太广,没有任何针对性。又如,进入到对话教授环节,我让学生听了两遍课文,第一遍听的时候,我没有给学生安排任务,目的性不明确。因此,应该先出示问题,让学生带着任务去听课文。 课后,市教研员毕玲老师与区教研员茆晓燕老师对我的课进行了深入地点评。专家们的点评是一笔宝贵的财富,为我的教学生涯指明了方向。在小学英语教学中,要注意以下几个方面: 首先,一节课的教学目标要明确,教学主线要清晰,其他的教学活动都是为实现教学目标而服务。 其次,英语的学习要遵循语言的交际性原则。教师要尽量使用简练的课堂语言,尽量为学生营造一个全英文的课堂氛围。使学生不仅仅要会读,还要会听,会用英语与人交流。 再次,要坚持新课程教学理
