Module4 Book 5 the magic of the mask(说课稿) Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, its my great honor and pleasure to be here to share my lessons with you. I have been ready to begin this presentation for seven parts. Analysis of teaching materials, analysis of students, the teaching aims, the teaching methods, the teaching equipment, the teaching procedure and the teaching evaluation.Analysis of teaching material The content of my lesson is senior English of china book 5 module 4 the magic of the mask. By studying this reading part, we will enable the students to know the development of carnival in Venice and develop their reading skills. Whats more, let the students listen to the tape and find out the main idea of the each paragraph and finish the detailed reading part, which also help the students practice their listening and speaking ability, therefore, the reading part plays an important part of this unit.Analysis of students As we know, students have been for more than one year and adapted to life in senior year, they have mastered many words and phrases. Although lack relative ability to read and some information about foreign cultures, they become more mature and responsible and also want to know more about foreign cultures, they are eager to involve themselves in the learning activities and hope to improve their reading ability and get good results in the exams.Teaching aims: Knowledge aim:To know more about foreign festivals To learn useful words and expressions Ability aim: To master useful information and improve their reading ability To write a short passage about festival according to the passage Emotion aim: To develop students cross-culture communicative consciousnessTo be more about curious about foreign cultureTeaching key points To help the students master the new words and phrases To improve their reading skills Teaching difficult pointsTo find out the essential factors for describing festival through reading The teaching methods:Task-based teaching method Situational teaching methodTeaching resources:Multi-media computer Tape record Previewing paper Teaching proceduresStep1: leading-in Introduce some Chinese festivals and lead some foreign festivals which are designed to develop their interest in the class. And then let the students enjoy the video about carnival in Venice and speak out what they see and hear. Question1: ask students to name some Chinese festivals and foreign festivals in English.Question 2A small discussion: what do you see and hear in the video Purpose: to arouse the students interest in learning about festivals Step2: fast reading Listen to the tape of the text and match the main idea with the paragraphs Purpose: to develop students quick scanning abilityStep3: detailed reading Read the text carefully and answer the detailed questions.Question1: Whenever you think of carnival, you may think of _, _ and _.
