unit 1 how do you study for a test? section a 3a-4learning goals:section a 3a-4 is the second lesson in this unit. in this lesson, the ss need to master more useful expressions about learning how to learn, like “the way of doing, the way to do sth., end up”. and they will go on to consolidate the structures “verb + by with gerund” and “gerunds as subjects” by finishing reading, speaking and interviewing tasks about how to study english better. the ss can get a good chance to learn, show and share good experience of learning more english.teaching and learning steps:teaching and learning steps:step i. pre-reading activities1. previewask the ss to translate the following chinese into english. first ask the ss to put them into english orally, then let them write english down without looking at the textbooks.(1)学习更多英语的最佳方式 _(2)具体的建议 _(3)通过使用英语来学习 _(4)记流行歌曲的单词 _(5)学习语法 _(6)感觉不同 _(7)看演员说台词 _(8)发现看电影无聊 _(9)改进英语 _(10)和朋友做对话 _(11)一点也不 _(12)因某事而变得兴奋 _(13)玩的愉快 _(14)以说语结束讲话 _(设计说明:本部分词组为学生的预习作业,通过检测学生的预习效果,教师可以更有针对性地教,学生可以更有针对性的学。)2. review(1)ask the ss to retell how mei, pierre and antonio in 1b study for a text.e.g. mei studies for a test by making flashcards(2)ask the ss to retell the ways to learn english in 2a. e.g. therere many ways to learn english. some people learn english by watching english-language videos. some people (设计说明:通过复述,既可以巩固上节课的语言知识,又为下一步导入新课做了充分的语言铺垫。)3. lead intell the ss that therere many ways to learn english in 2a. ask the ss to make a conversation in pairs about what they think of these ways.e.g. a: what do you think of watching english-language videos?
