My favorite subject is science. - 2d of Section A ,Unit 9 for Grade 7(Go for it!) Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen ! My presentation today consists of seven parts.They are analysis of the teaching material, analysis of students, teaching goals, teaching and learning methods, teaching procedures, blackboard design and myself-reflection .First of all, I will start with part I. Part 1 Analysis of teaching material. This lesson is part 2d from Section A, Unit 9 for Grade7 of Go for it.The topic is My favorite subject is science. As we know, students have learned how to express their likes and dislikes in unit 6. So this unit which is talking about personal preferences and reasons is easy for students to accept. Section A is divided into 11 parts.As the7th period of this section, part 2d plays a transitional role which not only consolidates the contents before but also lays a good foundation for the following parts. Whats more,such a topic is closely related to our students daily life and it can easily arouse their study interests and passion. Part 2 The Analysis of StudentsAs students of Grade Seven, at the end of this term, students have got a clearer understanding of their subjects in their study life.However, Most of my students English is very poor because of the limited teaching conditions. But to my surprise, all of them are filled with curiosity and longing for English knowledge. In addition to their intelligence and diligence, I love them particularly. Part 3 Teaching Goals According to the New Curriculum Standard, my teaching objectives include the following parts. First, the goals of Knowledge and skills Enable the students to master the new words and new phrases to freely express their preferences and reasons with the new sentence structures. Second, the goals of process and methods On the basis of the 三-162 Ideal Class Teaching Model of our school, our students can easily achieve their learning goals through various activities. Third, the goals of emotion and value This lesson is mainly to talk about how to express our preferences of subjects .Through this lesson, I will cultivate their expression of unique feelings and experience with reasons and evidences. And promote to form a new type of relationship between teachers and students while communicating. Teaching Emphasis. To master the new words and phrases : Monday, Friday , Saturday, play games with, for sure.As they are frequently used in our daily life , the usage of them are the key points of my teaching task. Teaching Difficulties: To master the usage of wh-questionsTo improve the students ability of cooperation and English expression in their real life. Part 4 Teaching and Learning Methods According to our students special characteristics,I mainly used the audio-visual teaching method, task-based teaching method and communicative teaching method. Whats more, the 3-162 Ideal class teaching system of our school will go through the whole class and our motto is Change the platform into the stage and return the stage to the students. I will invite the students to complete the tasks alone, discuss the questions in pairs, and summarize the key points and rules in groups. During the whole class, students are masters and I am just a director. I believe A teacher in need is a teacher indeed.Besides, multi-media ,blackboard and a tape recorder will be needed as the teaching aids. Part 5 Teaching Procedures There are altogether six steps in my teaching procedures. Since all of my students are fond of games and competition, before class,I will divide the students into 9 groups for the group competition . While a student answer a question rightly, one “Great Thumb” will be given to his or her group. Before the competition ,I will lead the students to sing their “winner song” to stimulate their enthusiasm.Step 1 Review and lead-in . In this part,We will play an English game Hit golden eggs Process: All the group members hands up quickly to achieve the chance to hit golden eggs. Three students are needed in each group,one student hit the golden egg then guess and speak the English word in the egg,a boy and a girl are needed to finish the dialogue we learned before .The full mark is three Great Thumbs. Purpose:This game is so easy and interesting that it can easily arouse the students study interests. Besides, it can make sure that most of our students can join in it. Whats more,we can review the words and sentence structures that we have learned before in this section . At the end of the game,we will hit the last golden egg together to lead in the dialogue we are going to learn.Next I will invite the students to look at the pictures in their daily life which can catch their eyes.This part helps to lead in the sentence structure Who is your .teacher? and new phrase Play games with. This part is mainly through quick ask - answer to achieve the task. Step 2 PresentationInvite the students to conclude the sentence structures according to my lead-in. Summarize the structures of wh-questions. Then listen to the tape of 2d twice and answer the following questions.After that,I will ask students to work in groups and find out the key points of the text. During the whole process, let students conclude the key points positively, check their answers each other. I will make supplements if necessary. At last, I will present the key points on the PPT and encourage students to find good ways to remember the new words firmly.Step 3 Consolidation After the students presentation, I will lead our students to sing a song “Days of a week” in order to consolidate the new words. Next, We will listen to the tape twice again and imitate its pronunciation and intonation .Step 4 Practice Ask students to work in pairs and then role-play the dialogue according to the main clue given on the PPT. Invite some volunteers to make comments on their performance. Great Thumbs will be given to the excellent groups respectively depending on their talent show.Step 5 Projects Ask the students to do a survey among the
