unit 4 earthquake lesson 1 a night the earth didnt sleep 设计人学科英语任课班级课题unit4 earthquakelesson 1 a night the earth didnt sleep教材分析this is a reading text about tangshan earthquake. the writer describes some strange things before the earthquake and what damages the earthquake caused and how the people faced the earthquake bravely, rescued the injured people and rebuilt tangshan.学情分析since they are senior students of grade one, they just mastered some basic reading skills,and they are of different levels and their advantages are in different aspects. so i will try my best to meet their different requirements. only in this way can all the students be considered and respected. they will feel confident and take part in the activities as much as they can.三维目标1. knowledge goals enable students to practise using some words and phrases to describe the earthquake. help students have a basic understanding of attributive clauses2. ability goals enable students to improve their capability of reading comprehension.3. moral goals help students learn more about the earthquake and what they should do during the earthquake重点难点1. teaching important points to help students better understand the whole text by applying the reading strategies. help students have a basic understanding of attributive clauses2. teaching difficult points how to encourage students to express their own ideas with confidence.教法及意图 self-study group work(to instruct students to learn to study by themselves as well as cooperatively.)教学过程(教学环节、教师活动、学生活动)设计意图及目标达成预测step1 pre-reading lead-in: free talkt: at the very beginning, i want to know how much you know about an quake. q1: what would you take with you if a quake happened? q2: the best way to save yourself is to know there will be a quake before it happens. what kind of signs can tell you that there is a quake? q3: what kind of damage can an earthquake cause?s: buildings are destroyed; people are killed; families are brokent: lets have a look at some pictures of such terrible site.
