A life without a friend is a life without a sun.Good morning ,ladies and gentlemen. My name is Qu Hongxiao,today Im glad to give a speech. My topic is A life without a friend is a life without a sun.Everyone needs friends. It s nice to have a friend to talk , laugh , and do things with. A good friend is someone you can discuss personal matters with, knowing that you can trust her. True friends double you happiness and half your burdens. I think friendship is as important as relationship with family. If I had no friends, I would feel lonely. A life without a friend is a life without a son. I remember the first time I met Xiao Qing. In 2009, our whole family moved a new village because of my fathers job. I was nine years old and having lost all my old friends .I felt shy and lonely at my new school. Only Xiao Qing was very kind to me. She often invited me to her home. We had the same interst. Both of us liked reading and swimming. We finished homework together .And we both study well. Either she or I was the first in our class. We trusted each other and we became good friends. I always remember the long summer vacation we spent together.We learned to ride bikes on the playground. Although we fell off again and again, but we climbed up and laughed until we could ride wonderfully. In the afternoon, we went to the woods , collecting feathers left by the birds in the cages. Sometimes we took off shoes and jumped into the little river to play with water. In the evening , we lay down on the yard to look at the sky ,seeing thousands of stars,telling beautiful stories and share each others secrets. Life seemed perfect. Until that day, Xiao Qings father was knocked over by a car. Unluckily , he died a few days later. Sine then Xiao Qing has changed and she became silent. Yes , I knew she loved her father very much. she couldnt believe her sky became dark. She didnt laugh any more .I felt sad. I wanted to comfort her and gave her some help ,but I didnt know what to do. On the first day of Grade Seven, she moved away. Because her mother married again. She didnt tell me when she left. The first time I lost my best friend.I cried on many lonely evenings I thought it was the end of the world. There were thick clouds in my sky. With my mothers help, I found her new address and got her telephone number. I often wrote to her and chat with her on QQ. Little by little, she got out of sadness and became confident again. We never forget the happy times we spent together many years ago . As we know that true friendships are hard to achieve .Treasure the friends if we already have them., even it has pain. Friendship needs lots of energy and patience to maintain. Not to mention time. When your friend needs you, and when things are not going to well on your side, its often so easy to turn a deaf ear to their requests. It is during these times that you must find the strength to help your friend . And it is during these times that your friendship will be made stronger. That is to say,”A friend in need is a friend indeed.” So everyone , lets make good friends. Think about all the happy times your friends has made for you and all the times when he was happy for you despite his own troubles. Think about all the happy times you
