湖南安全技术职业学院商务英语专业、应用英语专业、文秘专业英语翻译技巧教学大纲专业代码: 660108/660102/660112 课程代码: 10604016 学 制: 全日制三年 教学时数: 40 应用外语系商务英语教研室 二九年六月英语翻译技巧课程教学大纲专业代码:660108 / 660102 /660112课程代码: 10604016课程性质:职业基础课程总学时:40学分:2.5一、 大纲说明(一)课程的性质与任务1、课程性质:本课程是商务英语专业,计算机英语专业和中英文秘英语专业的一门职业基础课程,是培养学生具备基本的翻译理论技巧的课程,也是本专业学生学习其他相关专业课程的重要保证。本课程旨在通过向学生介绍基本的翻译理论与技巧,结合大量的课堂与课外笔头练习、课堂讨论及讲评,提高学生英汉、汉英互译的基本技能,即能运用翻译的理论和技巧,将英美报刊上的一般文章译成汉语,或将商务活动的书信译成英语,译文要求忠实原意,语言流畅;能担任一般外事活动的笔译。2、课程任务与目标 通过学习本课程,学生应掌握有关文化翻译的基本概念、基本特征、基本翻译技巧,能独立翻译一般的英语函件(包括电子邮件),意思表达清楚,用词比较准确,无重大语法错误。因而使学生进一步提高基本的听、读、说、写、译的英语应用表达能力。本课程的教学目标旨在消除翻译中的文化障碍并进行积极而又高效的翻译技能训练的基础理论课程。它系统地讲授翻译的特点、文化与翻译的关系、习语、惯用语、委婉语、旅游、色彩、数字、生态等文化现象与翻译的关系的理论问题。3、教学方法根据英语口、笔译的实际特点,在教学中重对比分析,重实践说明,重实践练习,采用项目教学和案例教学等方法,课堂讲授与练习相结合,课堂知识与社会应用相结合,通过课堂授课、课堂练习(讨论、限时练习及模拟现场口译实践练习等)和课外补充作业(包括网络口、笔译练习等)的形式开展。(二)课程教学要求1、基本知识通过学习,要求掌握阅读、理解和翻译等方面的基本知识和技巧,具备英语书面材料的理解能力。2、基本能力具有较强的独立翻译工作能力和特殊问题的处理能力,能分析和处理商务工作以及其他工作中发生的实际问题,并能掌握有关文化的翻译的基本翻译技巧,理解正确,译文基本达意。3、基本素质 具有良好的文化素养、必要的科学素养、基本的文学艺术修养和现代企业文化素质。(三)与其它课程的联系“英语翻译技巧”课程是计算机英语专业、商务英语专业和文秘英语专业的职业基础课程,是综合英语课程、英语阅读课程等课程的并列基础课程,它们相辅相成,都以培养和提高学生的英语语言能力为目的。(四)教学中应注意和处理的问题1 应充分利用教材中所列材料和案例,并结合所学专业知识,反复进行多种形式的练习。 2 应注重提高学生的翻译能力,做到意思表达清楚,语言比较规范,遵守文化翻译的习惯,避免翻译时因文化的差异而造成的错误。 3 要求学生认真学习文字教材;认真完成课程中规定的各项练习;并鼓励学生学会借助辞典等工具书独立解决学习中所遇到的各种问题。 4 根据学习需要和具体情况安排翻译讲评课。在课上,教师应结合翻译的基本技能和学生的作业进行重点讲评。 5教师应指导学生,从互联网上查阅有关的应用翻译资料,以扩展学生的知识面和视野。二、学时分配学时分配表章节及其主要内容总时数其中授课实验实训实习复习测验Chapter One Introduction211Chapter Two A Brief Discussion of Cultural Levels211Chapter Three The Relationship Between Culture and Translation 211Chapter Four Cultural Issues in Utterance Communication211Chapter five Culture Influences the Quality of Translation211Chapter Six English Idioms and Translation52.52.5Chapter Seven Culture of Appellation and Translation422Chapter Eight Cultural Connotation of Names and translation422Chapter Nine Culture of Euphemism and Translation422Chapter ten Culture of Tourism and Translation422Chapter Eleven Culture of Numbers and Translation 31.51.5Chapter Twelve: Culture of Colors and Translation31.51.5Chapter Thirteen Ecological Culture and Translation31.51.5合计402020总时数的比例(%)100%50%50%二、 教学内容:Chapter One Introduction Teaching points : The different definition of culture and translationTeaching requirements: Ss are asked to understand the different definition of culture and translation and have a good foundation of the latter chaptersChapter Two A Brief Discussion of Cultural Levels Teaching points : The different levels of cultureTeaching requirements:The students are required to understand the definition of the culture Chapter Three The Relationship Between Culture and Translation Teaching points : The definition and character of translation ,the relation between culture and translationTeaching requirements:The students are required to know the definition and character of translation and grasp the relation between them.Chapter Four Cultural Issues in Utterance Communication Teaching points :implicit culture explicit cultureTeaching requirements: The students are required to understand the culture in the different cultural background in the translationChapter Five Culture Influences the Quality of Translation Teaching points: the function of the culture translation is a science Influences on Meanings expressed by different English expressionsTeaching requirements: Ss are asked to understand the special cultures in different languages and grasp the influences on meanings by different English expressionsChapter Six English Idioms and Translation Teaching points: Historical stories or events Fairy Tales Proverbs Customs Among the PeopleTeaching requirements: Ss are asked to be familiar with the phenomenon of the culture and grasp the skills of the translation of themChapter Seven Culture of Appellation and Translation Teaching points: The Status of a Generation in the family and translation ;
