(1a-2c) 第 2课时 learning goals:in this lesson we mainly learn how to make predictions by using “there will be/there is/are going to be”. by learning the unit, they get to know how to talk about their lives in the future using “less/fewer”.they must remember: hold on to your dreams, and one day they will come true.previewhave a competition between boys and girls一、put the following into english orally.1. 在纸上_ 2. 在电脑上_ 3. 活到_ 4. 更少的树_5. 更少的污染_ 二、put the following into chinese.1. there will be_ 2. be crowded with _ 3. agree with_ 4. study at home_5. use the subways less_(设计意图:本部分由于短语和生词不多,所以我们可以采用竞赛形式,既活跃了气氛,同时又检测学生的预习效果,及时发现学生学习中的难点加以突破。这样教师可以更有针对性地教,学生可以更有针对性的学。)warming up and leading in1.t: did you have a good time during your summer vacation? what did you do? did you watch cctv spring festival gala? what was your favorite program节目? i like robot story best ! show the slides of the game to the ss. 2.do you like the game? do you like the robots? do you think people will have robots in their homes in the future?(设计意图:通过让学生观赏中央电台春节联欢晚会上机器人的精彩表演的视频,既让学生有了视觉上的冲击,同时又抛出本课的话题:未来人们在家中会拥有自己的机器人吗?让学生展开讨论。)presentation 1. now come to 1a. look at the pictures and let the ss talk about what the life will be like in100 years. read these predictions and check a(for agree)or d(for disagree).2. play a game: boys pk girlsshow some pictures of different predictions and let them say out the predictions as quickly as they can. the boys or girls who are quicker and right are the winners. people will have robots in their homes there will only be one country. everything will be free. people will live to be 200 years old. books will only be on computers, not on paper.students will study at home on computers.3. let the ss look at the picture and practice the dialogue:a: will people use money in 100 years?b: no, they wont. everything will be free. will people live to be 200 years old? a: yes, they will.4. t: what other predictions do you have? s: i will live under the sea t: i have some predictions. lets look at the pictures and tell me what they are . you can say it like “there will be” (设计意图:本环节通过图片展示的方式让学生进行抢答,课堂气氛十分活跃,学生接受起来也比较轻松。)while-listening activities1. listening for the general idea.tell the ss that two people are talking about something. ask the ss to listen to their conversation and find out:what are they talking about ?_a. they are talking about the predictions about the future.b. they are talking about the earth.c. they are talking about their plans for the future.2. listening for the specific ideas(1)ask the ss to listen again and circle the predictions they hear in activity 1a(2) check the ss answers and then ask the ss to listen to the tape for 2a .circle the words they hear. check the correct boxes in the picture(3) listen to the tape for 2b and check the predictions they hear.(4) listen to the tape a third time and finish the tape scripts.woman: ok, now i want to hear everyones_ about the future. girl 1: well, i think there will be_ people.woman: more people? ok. what else? boy1: i predict that there will be _free time.woman: i hope not. girl 2: well, i think there will be_ cars.woman: you do? girl 2: yes, people will use the _more. woman: thats a good idea. lets hear_ prediction.boy2: there will be less_.woman: that will be_ for the earth.girl 1: i think there will be fewer_. i think cities will be really big and_ because there will be a lot more people.(设计意图:本部分的内容重在培养学生们听大意和听细节信息的能力,所以先帮助学生听出每个对话的大意再去完成后面对应的细节题。)post-listening activities1. ask and answer questions about cheng hans plans:a: i think there will be more pollution.b: well, i dont agree. but i think there will be fewer treesa: i agree. what do you think?c: i think there will be less water.2. play a guessing game. let the ss talk about their predictions for the future and on a piece of paper, write about his/her life in ten years. they mustnt write his/her name on the paper. put all the students papers together. take turns reading the papers. then guess who wrote them. (设计意图:本部分的内容重在培养学生们口头表达的能力,同时通过复述引导学生更好地内化语言知识。旨在鼓励学生多用本课所学的知识,让学生在用英语中体会英语的用法。)inquiry into knowledge by translation一. 探究:people will live to be 200 years old译为:_其中_是一般将来时的一种表达方式。一般将来时还有其他表达方式 _/_.另外live to be译为:_二there will be fewer trees.译为_. there will be less pollution.译为_.其中there be是_的意思,表示_. fewer是_的意思,用来修饰_less是_的意思,用来修饰_(设计意图:本节课的翻译探究先让学生自己在组内讨论,并在课堂上展示出来,教师要多用语言给予鼓励表扬。对于错误的和解决不出的问题,让大家共同解决,最后老师再点拨。这样才能更好地培养学生的自学与合作探究能力。)the end-of class test一 根据句意及字母提示完成单词。1. he _(将;会) study in the high school next year.2. japanese _(机器人) are very famous in the world.3. there are many tall_(建筑物) in the big city.4. i have _(更少的) story books than you do.5. i hope _(每件事情) goes well.二 用所给单词的适当形式填空1. everything _(be) free in 2040.2. there _(be) heavy rain the day after tomorrow.3. there will be some robots in some _(people) homes.4. cities will be very_(crowd).we should use cars_(little).5. kids_(not go) to school in 100 years.三 根据汉语提示完成英语句子1 20年后将来会有更少的树。2. 城市将会庞大而拥挤。3.你同意会有更多的污染吗?4.书将只出现在电脑上,而不是纸上。5.将来人们将会活到200岁。本节课亮点:1. 导入部分通过让学生观赏中央电台春节联欢晚会上机器人的精彩表演的视频,既让学生有了视觉上的冲击,同时又抛出本课的话题:未来人们在家中会拥有自己的机器人吗?学生讨论热烈,畅所欲言,效果良好。2. 设计的两个游戏让学生们在玩中学。旨在鼓励学生多用本课所学的知识,让学生在用英语中体会英语的用法,同时可以看出学生对这个游戏很感兴趣,一些英语基础不是很好的学生也能说出自己对未来的预测,这是自己这节课最满意的教学环节。3. 竞赛活动一直贯穿整个教学过程,通过男生与女生之间的pk,让学生一直都很兴奋,紧张,学生参与教学的积极性很高。4.整节课通过一系列图片来学习,让学生感觉易懂易掌握,尤其是在预测未来十年生活环节中,学生能够通过图片,在具体的情境中把学到的知识用起来,学以致用,学生会有成就感,会有更大的热情投入到英语学习中来。不足之处:课堂用语使用不够熟练和简练,因此与学生交流起来不是很顺畅,经常要辅之汉语。使用注意事项:课前要提前布置让学生思考一下自己对未来的预测,以便上课展示,表演。答案:preview1.on paper 2.on computers 3.live to be 4.fewer trees 5.less pollution1.将有 2.挤满
