unit 10 ive had this bike for three years.the second period (section b 3a-3c)teaching aims(教学目标)1掌握基本的阅读技能2. 了解什么是yard sale3. 掌握现在完成时的用法language points(语言点)1 要求掌握以下句式:as they get bigger our house seems to get smaller. no longer have done . since . either; too; also; as well 2要求掌握以下词汇: (1)动词:clear out, own, part with(2)名词:railway(3)形容词:junior, certain, truthful (4) 副词: no longer, as for, to be honest (本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难,如果班级学生的水平较高,可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。)difficulties(难点):现在完成时表延续性用法teaching steps(教学步骤)1. revision and warm-up (课堂热身和复习)revision: t: youve learned these phrases in the last lesson. lets translate these phrases into english.warming up:show ss some pictures of the yard sale and ask some questions to test ss understanding of the idea of yard sale.t: what are the people doing in the picture? where are they shopping?教学设计说明:为后面的阅读教学作铺垫。引出 yard sale 。2. presentation(呈现新知识)t: what do you know about yard sales? discuss it with your partner.have ss discuss in pairs. encourage them to put forward as many ideas as they could about yard sale.if necessary, use slide 5 in powerpoint 1 (the first period) to consolidate the concept. (教师在幻灯片呈现几组有关yard sale的图片,然后让学生对图片进行描述,对后面的阅读做好铺垫。)教学设计说明:扩大学生视野,让学生用英语思维 。为后面的阅读作好铺垫。3. first reading (work on 3a)t: read the article written by a father for a newspaper. what is his family going to sell at the yard sale?(教师可以四处走动,以帮助学生怎样理解文章的大意。并对个别难懂对他们阅读有障碍的地方进行注解。)教学设计说明:让学生掌握如何去抓住一篇文章的大意。4. second reading (work on 3b)t: read the article again and answer the questions. before ss read the article again, make sure they understand the five questions. remind ss to look for the key words to answer the first three questions while they are reading the article the second time. for questions 4 and 5, ss will have to give their own answers. accept any logical answers.
