综合英语课教学大纲课程编号:210154-54/55/56/57 学时:288 学分:20编写单位:英语专业教研室 审 核 人:宋德文修定时间:2006年6月11日一、 课程概述1、课程性质综合英语是为高等学校英语专业本科生基础阶段开设的专业必修课,为期两年,即第一至第四学期共四个学期。本课程传授系统的语音、语法、词汇、篇章结构、语言功能、意念等基础语言知识。训练听、说、读、写、译等基本的语言技能,培养学生初步运用英语进行交际的能力,指导学生采用正确的学习方法, 丰富学生的社会文化知识,为升入高年级打下扎实基础。2、课程教学的目标本课程是一门综合英语技能课,其主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力。熟悉中国传统文化;熟悉英语国家的地理、历史、发展现状、文化传统、风俗习惯;具有较多的人文知识和科技知识;具有较强的创新意识和一定的创新能力。教师应鼓励学生积极参与课堂的各种语言交际活动以获得基本的交际技能,并达到英语专业教学大纲所规定的听、说、读、写、译等技能的要求,为升入高年级打下扎实基础。 具体来说,通过本课程的学习,学生在基础知识方面应达到以下目标:语音:学生应掌握正确的语音和语调,在朗读和听说中有基本的节奏感和语调感。词汇:认知词汇5,000-6,000个,熟练掌握2,000-2,500个及其基本搭配词汇,能在会话和写作中正确运用。表达:掌握交流时如何用不同句式表达功能意念。语法:掌握系统的英语语法,并能在综合运用中做到概念清楚,形式正确。 阅读:掌握文章的主旨,准确领会作者的写作意图,读懂不同题材的文章,并保证一定的阅读速度。写作:掌握不同体裁文章(记叙文,议论文,应用文等)的写作格式,做到语法正确,表达清晰,论点明确。3、课程的适用专业与年级本课程教授的对象为高等学校英语专业本科一年级和二年级的学生。4、课程的总学时要求本课程总学时为360学时,其中课堂讲授课时为200学时,课堂讨论课时为40学时,习题课时为80学时,平时测试课时为40学时。5、本课程与其他课程的联系与分工修读本课程应达到以下基本要求:该课程的前提是学生在语音方面,能熟练地运用拼读规则和音标读生词;能比较流利地朗读浅易材料,语音、语调大体正确。在语法方面,能识别词类;基本掌握名词、代词、数词、常用介词和连词、形容词和副词、冠词的用法及句法功能,了解动词的时态、语态及不定式和分词的用法。在词汇方面,认知词汇不少于2,000个;熟用1,200个左右的常用词和一定数量的短语。了解基本构词法。在听力方面,能听懂教师的讲课;听懂浅易材料,理解正确率达到70%。在口语方面,能熟练地就课文内容进行问答和讨论;能就日常话题进行初步的交际。在阅读方面,能读懂浅易读物并掌握主要内容和中心思想。在写作方面,能在20分钟内写出100个单词左右的短文,表达清楚,无严重语法错误。 基础英语课与单项技能课和语言知识课之间的关系:综合英语是英语专业最重要的基础课程,是贯穿专业基础阶段两年的综合技能课程。它有别于理论知识和单项技能课,但又与其他课程有必要的交叉,与听、说、读、写、译等单项技能课相辅相成。综合英语课程的特点在于所使用的语言材料是全面、系统的,技能的训练是综合的。与该课程同时开设的有泛读、口语、听力、写作等。这些课程各有侧重,相辅相成,都以培养和提高学生的英语语言能力为最终目的。在教学辅导过程中,要注意该课程与相关课程的衔接、配合与分工。自学或教学过程中应正确处理基础英语课与单项技能课和语言知识课之间的关系。前者突出的是培养学生运用英语的综合能力,在不同阶段所强调的侧重点有所不同;后者强调某一技能或知识的深入,并从不同的角度提高学生运用英语的综合能力的。二、 课程内容1. 课程内容第一册课程内容教学主题教学要点Lesson 1Half a DayWord Study:to make sb./sth.
