2014/2015第一学期非英语专业研究生英语教学大纲及教学计划Non-English Major Graduate Student EnglishCourse Syllabus(2014/2015 Fall)Instructor: Wang,Yingchun (Yingda)王迎春 E-mail: , Mobile:, 654099 一、 编写说明本大纲的教学对象是非英语专业的硕士研究生(以下简称硕士生),研究生英语是非英语专业的硕士生必修的学位课程。研究生英语教学的宗旨是为了使学生掌握英语这门工具,进行本专业的学习、研究与国际交流,在教学中要坚持从实际出发、学以致用的原则,培养和提高研究生运用英语的能力。本学期实际教学周数为16周,每周为4学时,共64课时。学分:2二、本课程的教学目的和要求硕士研究生英语包括阅读、听说、写作与翻译。阅读, 要求学生阅读有一定难度的英语读物和专业领域的学术论文等。听说, 要求学生能听懂英语会话和与专业有关的英语研讨会或学术报告,能用英语进行有实质性的内容的交谈以及参与社会热点问题的讨论,在学术研讨会上提出问题或发表见解等。写作, 要求学生用英语写各种类型的文章包括 议论文、应用文和学术论文,且做到格式正确,表达连贯。翻译, 要求学生掌握英汉互译的技巧,能将一般性的英汉短文或论文译成汉英短文或论文,而且做到原文理解正确,译文通顺达意。三、 大纲的教学体系(一) 授课内容:研究生综合英语1(精读课本),旨在培养学生的读、说、译、写的能力,每两周一单元,本学期计划完成7个单元(Units 1,2,3, 5, 7,8,4)。鉴于广大研究生听说能力弱,每周安排两次(每次15分钟)视听说,内容为研究生英语视听说教程1和Listening and Speaking Practice(任课教师自选) 及新世纪走遍美国。研究生英语视听说教程的设计有助于增加学生在语篇层次上的听说能力,提高他们对所听材料的分析判断和归纳总结能力,以及用英语就一般性话题和专业话题表达观点的能力。研究生英语视听说教程遵循“听说结合,以听促说”的原则。这套教材实行学生课外练习与课堂检查相结合,本学期完成上册的12个单元,具体安排请看授课计划表。Listening Practice:旨在培养和提高学生听懂英语(国家)广播电台以及电视台(如VOA,CNN,BBC,CCTV9)有关政治、经济、文化、科技、军事、外交等方面的专题报道以及与此类题材相关的演讲和演讲后的回答。新世纪走遍美国能培养学生的日常英语交流能力,如工作、学校、家庭、医院、城市和乡村等各种特定情景。(二)、授课方法:通过课堂教学、多媒体辅助教学以及其他各类学习活动(课堂讨论,提问,演示,小组陈述,小型采访,辩论,角色扮演,和随堂测验等),为学生营造一个使听、说、读、写等语言技能得到均衡发展的学习环境,使研究生的英语综合能力有较为明显的提高。(三)、教学具体要求:1、课堂要求:课堂上积极听课主动参与各项互动活动;课前预习,课后及时复习。不配合参与扣平时成绩。2、出勤要求: 每次上课签到,学生缺席(包括旷课和请假)达到三分之一即20 节课时,则不能参加期末考试。旷课一次扣平时分1分(累计3次扣期末成绩一分),请假、迟到一次和早退一次分别扣0.5分,请假要有所在院系盖章的请假条。3、English Drama (团队任务) 英语表演或角色扮演: 分组4 6人, 完成一场15分钟左右的英语戏剧表演或角色扮演,小组自己准备剧本,道具等,第十周把题目及人员安排报给老师,第十五周表演。还要评出最佳学期小组,并有小奖品。4、课后作业要求:1) 书面 本学期共交6次书面作业,每2.5周交一次 (周2,4,6,9,12,15) ,包括:(1)Self-introduction Writing (不少于300字, 第二周交) ;(2)至(6)每次包括A)(每单元课后练习中Writing ( argumentative writing) ,写不少于200字,Units 1,2,3, 7,8); B)每单元的Further reading写阅读报告Reading Reports (Units 1,2,3, 7,8),格式要求a) 题目 b) 内容摘要summary (不少于200字) c) 个人感受reflection / response (不少于100字) d) 生词表带英文解释vocabulary explanation list。每次交作业要写清楚 个人信息和作业次数 如, Assignment 1,2,3 2) 课文朗读录音 每单元学生朗读课文 (Units 1,2,3,4,5,7,8),并录音,注意单词发音准确,重音、节奏、停顿和语调恰当清晰。(用MP3格式提交,周 2,4,6,8,10,12,14收)。每次交作业要写清楚 个人信息 如,王林unit 1,2,.四、考核方式及成绩评定标准考核方式:硕士研究生考试采取闭卷形式,分口试和笔试两部分。口试以小组讨论形式,讨论题目提前给。笔试包括听力、词汇、阅读、翻译和写作等;笔试基本实行考教分离,试卷从题库中抽取,成绩不及格者重修。成绩评定标准:总成绩100期末成绩60 口试10平时成绩30(100分= 出勤率占30,课堂参与/表现30,课后作业20、课堂测试10,团队任务10)五、教材及主要参考书教材:曾道明、陆效用.研究生综合英语(1),复旦大学出版社,2008年10月第二版。陈文娟等 研究生英语视听说教程上, 浙江工商大学出版社,2012年8月 第一版。新世纪走遍美国 世图音像电子出版社。 Listening Practice: English Speeches /News /Documentary任课教师自选(学生仅在课堂上听和1练习,没有教材) 参考书目: 陶友兰、查国生,研究生英语翻译,复旦大学出版社,2002 年9月 查国生,研究生英语写作,复旦大学出版社,2002年9月六、Resources /live/ (CCTV News Live)/08video/ (China Radio International)/studentnews/ (CNN Student News)/WN/ (ABC World News with Diane Sawyer)/tv/cnn-student-news/ (CNN Student News)/video/player/ (National Geographic)/videos/american-chopper-videos/ (Discovery Channel)http:/www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/ (BBC News)/ (Ted)/Live-Video/C-SPAN/ (C-SPAN Networks LIVE)/open/ (网络公开课)/OcwWeb/Global/all-courses.htm (网络公开课)http:/openlearn.open.ac.uk/course/index.php (网络公开课) /cnn/cnnstudentnewsSelf-introduction Writing (about 200 words)1.Who are you and where are you from?2.Where and what did you study as an undergraduate?3.
