Lesson Plan InterpretationToday is Lilys birthday Designed by Yang HanGood morning, everyone. Im glad to interpret my lesson here. The lesson Im going to talk about is from Primary Integrated English Students Book 2A Unit 4 Lesson2-Today is Lilys birthday. Ill explain how to teach and why I do so from the following 4 aspects: the theoretical basis, understanding of the teaching material, teaching procedure and blackboard design.I. The theoretical basisAccording to Piagets Cognitive Learning Theory, childrens cognitive ability develops in a regular way. And this lesson is for the G2 students, so we should consider about their physical and mental characteristics. And this lesson is about birthday, its close to childrens life. So they will have a strong interest in this topic. So, when I design this lesson, I want them to speak as much as they can. And also, I designed some activities to make this class more interesting.II. Understanding of the teaching materialToday is Lilys birthday is mainly about arrangement for a birthday party. There are some sentences, such as “Lets decorate the room first.” “What beautiful decorations!” “Lets go to buy.”According to the Integrated English curriculum and language learning theory, listening and speaking are put in the first place. So we should encourage the Ss to speak as much as possible. Emphasis needs to be put on speaking and inspiring their interests in learning English. In order to fulfill the learning tasks of this lesson, I make out the following objectives.1. Knowledge ObjectivesSs will learn some sentences and structures. Such as “Lets hold a birthday party for” “Lets decorate “ I have” “I can blow up the balloons.” “Ill decorate with” “Ill get some”2. Ability ObjectivesIn this class, Ill encourage and help my Ss to speak, do and think. Ill give them enough time to express their own ideas. The main objective of this class is to improve their speaking ability and develop their interests in learning English. Also, I want to develop their ability in thinking.3. Moral objectivesIn this class, Ill teach the Ss that sometimes we neednt ask for money to buy a birthday gift. Instead, we can make a gift by ourselves.III. Teaching procedureNext comes to my teaching procedure. I divided it into 4 steps: Step 1 Warm up, Step 2 Presentation,Step 3 Practice and Step 4 Summary.Step 1: Warm up In this part, first, I will sing a Month Song with the Ss, and ask them the question, “When is your birthday?” to have a review of the answer structure, “My birthday is on.”Step 2: Presentation 1. According to step 1, I lead in Lilys birthday is on Oct. 31st. And then I design a scene that we are going to hold a birthday party for her.2. Decorate the roomIn this party, I use some objects: balloons, flowers and ribbons to decorate the classroom. I will ask the Ss to do the actions: blow up the balloons, make a tie with the ribbons and decorate the room with some flowers. When they are doing actions, they must say the sentences also. So, they can speak in the scene and also make sure what does the sentences mean.3. Prepare some food for the party. In this part, I design a scene: we need to prepare something what we like to eat or drink, so we go to the supermarket. I also design a small game to buy food. While doing the game, the Ss can use the structures: Id like some/ a; I want to buy In this part, I will use pair-work and group discussing.Step 3: Practice1. After go to the supermarket, I design a scene that I also bought some things. I use the guessing game to lead in the words of fruits, and go to the next part: I will make a fruit salad for Lily as a birthday gift. I will choose some little assistants to help me making it. In this way, the Ss can make sure how to make a salad.2. I make a salad as a birthday gift. So, I encourage the Ss to think for a while as a group work. Then, tell me what else they can give to Lily as a birthday present. This is the way to develop their creative thinking abilities.Step 4: Summery After those steps, I designed a summary step at the end of this class. The aim of t
