Unit 4 Feelings第一课时 Part 1 and Part 2Teaching aims:1. The pupils learn to use the words sad, happy,angry, tired,scared,cry and smile. 2. The pupils can master the sentences: He cries;He smiles ;He stamps his feet;He goes to bed.3. The pupils can sing an action song and do the actions to the song.4. The pupils can be confident during studying English.5. The pupils learn to cooperate with others and communicate with their partners.6. The pupils can sing an action song and do the actionsTeaching aids:1. cassette recorder 2. listening cassette3. some word cards with pictures 4. a dirty bookTeaching process: Step 1 Warming-up1. Greetings. T: Hello,everybody,are you happy?(同时教师在黑板上画个笑脸,脸上作出很夸张的表情) Ss:Yeah!T: How are you?S1:(Im fine,thank you.) T: Are you happy now?(同时教师手上拿着笑脸happy的卡片) S2:Yes.2. Listen to the action song twice and mime the actions.(边听教师边出示相应的表情的Toby的图片,同时学生跟着教师模仿歌词里的相应的动作)Step 2 Presentation1. Teach the word sad. 教师拿出一本掉到泥巴里弄脏的书,作出十分伤心的表情,大声说:Oh,my book! Im sad. 说完Im sad后,顺手拿出一张配有伤心脸的单词sad的卡片,教读sad,利用升降调和先慢后快的节奏处理来教读. Practise the word sad.a. 教师读升调,学生则读降调练习sad的读音.b. Practise in pairs.One pupil mimes the feeling of sad,theothers say the word sad loudly.Then exchange. Practice Im happy and he(she) is happy.(采用模仿表情的方法练习句型)2. Use the same way to teach the other four feelings: happy, scared, tired, angry. Step 3 Group practiceDivide the pupils into 5 groups: Tiger Group, Rabbit Group, Dog Group, Cat Group, Mouse Group.1. Mime the five feelings and speak out the five words loudly in groups.2. Chain game in each group.一个学生先做一种表情(scared),自己说Im scared,下一个学生说He(She) is scared,这个学生说完后紧接着做一种表情(sad),说Im sad,下一个学生又说He(She) is sad.这样一个一个接下去.3. Chain game among groups.一个小组派三个学生分别作出三种不同表情,下一组则派出三个学生说Hes/Shes.这一组的三个学生又分别作出三种表情,下一组的学生再说句子,这样一个一个接下去.Step 4 Listening and filling in the numbers.1. Let the pupils listen to the cassette and fill in the numbers.2. Listen again and check the answers. Step 5 Listen and sing the action song.1. Teach “cry” and “smile”.2. Practise the sentences: He cries; He smiles; He stamps his feet ;He goes to sleep.3. Listen to the song and at the same time mime it.4. Ask the pupils to listen to the song and repeat it.5. Ask the pupils to sing and mime the song.Step 6 Homework1. Let the pupils sing and mime
