Module 8 Around town课时安排:Period 1: Unit 1 Activities 1,2,4 and Unit 3 Activity 11Period 2: Unit 1 Activities 3,5,6,7,8 and 9Period 3: Unit 2 and Unit 3 Activities 3,9Period 4; Unit 3Unit 1 How do I get to the Forbidden City?一、教学内容:以出行旅游为话题,通过大量的语言材料集中展示了问路、指路的表达方式,同时对北京的名胜古迹做了简单介绍。二、教学目标:1、语言知识目标能够正确使用下列单词和词组:bank ,market, supermarket, pool, swimming pool, square, left, right, opposite. chairman, between, corner, along, on the left, on the right理解下列单词: revolution, memorial语法:能够正确运用方位介词功能:能够问路、指路语言:能够正确朗读疑问句和祈使句2、语言技能目标:听;能够听懂指路的语句内容并搭配图片说:能够问路、指路并给出具体方位读:能够读懂对某一地方的描述写:能够通过书面表达给别人指路三、教学重难点1、重点:问路和指路的表达方式学会用:How do I get to-? Can you tell me the way to -?2、难点;北京的名胜古迹读法和写法问路和指路的准确表达四、教学步骤:1、Lead-in Listen to the music and enjoy a picture of a town .Then give a map of our town. Ask : Do you like our town ?2、Show the pictures of some words. Ask: Is there a bank in our town ?Show the pictures:Eg. bank, supermarket, swimming pool ,market ,restaurant, park ,bookshop.Then read these words together.让学生回顾以前学过的单词,重在记住这些单词Listen to the tape and finish Activity 1. Then check the answers.边听边搭配图与单词3、Learn some prep of directionShow the pictures and readEg, on the right , on the left, next to, between ,on the corner of ,opposite ,in front of, behindPlay a gamePractice “right and left”我说英文,让学生做动作并讲出词组,以活跃气氛Do some exercises on Page 71 Activity 11.Then check the answers. 做这个练习以巩固刚学的方位介词4、Learn how to tell positions.Look at a map , then ask and answer.Eg, Is there a bank ?Yes , there is .Where is the bank ?It is next to the supermarket.Work in pairs and practice the dialogue. 练习这个对话,可以练介词,也可以为下面做铺垫5、Learn some places of interest in Beijing.Show the pictures and read.Eg, Tiananmen square, the Forbidden City, Beihai Park, the Museums, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, ect.因为这些词是这个单元的难点,很难读,所以边学边多读Do a match game 把名胜古迹的英文与中文连线,以加深印象Look at the pictures in the map the finish Activity 4 我把第四部分与对话分开,就让学生看图讲出地名,并找出它的英文,以让学生熟练掌握6、Ask and answer about the map.For example: Where is the Tiananmen Square ?It is opposite the Forbidden City.Then work in pairs and practice the dialogue用上名胜古迹让学生重新操练方位介词7、Listen and readListen to the tape of the dialogue then answer the questionListen again, do TF exerciseUnderline the phrases and read特别重视指路的句子和短语Finish Activity5Follow the tape and read the dialogue together整个环节重在让学生熟练对话的内容和重点词汇、语句.8、PairworkWork in pairs and act it out in roles. Then do a competition.此环节重在让学生培养朗读能力,并更深的了解对话9、Listen to the tape and repeat, read Activity 610、Look at the map of Activity 4 and give directions. Ask: How do I get to-? Can you tell me the way to -?Work in pairs and practise 重在让学生练习这两个以前学过的句子,并让学生学会如何给人指路Look at another map ,work in pairs and practice the dialogue11、Enjoy some pictures of London为第二单元的伦敦的旅程做好铺垫.12、Homework.Write a passage about the directions of the places of interest in BeijingUnit 2 The London eye is on your right.一、教学内容:以出行旅游为话题,通过大量的语言材料集中展示了指路及对某一区域进行描述的语言表达方式,同时对伦敦的一些著名景点进行了简单介绍。二、教学目标:语言知识目标词汇:能够正确使用下列单词和词组: tour, painting clear ,boat ,off ,tower ,tourist理解下列单词;gallery ,parliament ,guidebook, religious 功能:能够指路和对某一区域进行描述语言:能够正确朗读祈使句语言技能目标:听;能够听懂指路的语句内容并找到该地点说:能够指路读:能够读懂对地图的描述写:能够通过书面表达给别人指路三、教学重难点重点:指路和对某一区域的描述的表达方式难点;指路的准确表达及伦敦的地名四、教学步骤:1、Learn some placesShow the pictures of Activity 4Eg, tower, bridge , church , museum ,palace, storeThen finish Activity 4首先学习一些建筑,可以为接下来的英国的著名景点做准备do exercises on page 70 Activity 102、Learn some places in LondonAsk ; What can you see in the photos ?Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Big Ben , London EyeRead the words together and finish Activity3这样可以为下面要学的文章减轻难度,也可以让学生熟悉了解这些景点3、Learn the passageShow a map of London then follow the tourThe square-the National Gallery-Buckingham Palace-Houses of Parliament, Big Ben-London Eye-River Thames -Tower Bridge-Tower of London-River Thames-the station-the market-the church-the square主要让学生找出旅游路线,了解正篇文章的的大概Finish Activity 2 Mark the places on the map .Then check the answersListen to the tape , do a TF exerciseFor example: The National Gallery is a museum with lots of paintings.It is opposite the middle of London.The Queen lives in the Gallery.Listen to the tape again ,then answer some questions.Eg: Where is the middle of London?Where does the Queen live ?Where can we see most of London on a clear day ?How old is the Tower of London ?这些练习旨在让学生掌握文章的内容Follow the tape and read the passage. Underline the phrases4、Do an exercise in page 69 Activity3通过连线再次熟悉问路和指路的表达5、Play a game.If I stand in A , I will give the direction, then you guess where it finish练习如何给人指路,完成书本上的第5 部分,也让学生熟练掌握看地图的方法,并重新了解伦敦6、Homework.Write directions from the Square to Tower Bridge.Unit3 language in use一、 教学内容本单元通过各种练习来复习巩固前面的知识二、 教学目标能够灵活运用问路和指路的表达方式及掌握方位介词的运用三、 教学重难点问路和指路的运用及方位介词四、 教学步骤:1、 Show the map of Activity 1 then practice “where is CCTV Tower?”Eg: Where is the Tiananmen ? It is next to the Xidan Culture CentreWork in pairs and practice the dialogue重新让学生复习问方位的表达方式和方位介词的运用2、Find the way from FLTRP Tower to Tiananmen. Then check the answers.Answer:strat FTRP Tower. Go along Xisanhuan Road, and when you get to the Chengxiang Shopping Centre, turn left. This is Changan Jie. After you pass the Military Museum of Chinese Peoples Revolution, you can see Xidan Cultural Centre on your left. Go along Changan Jie, then you see Tiananmen Square on your left.复习如何给人指路,并能够掌握地图的看法3、Writing: let students write a passage and finish Activity 2.Start in Tianan men Square. Go along Changan Street.
