Unit 6 Holidays一、 教材分析:本单元围绕“谈论节日里所做的事”这一话题展开教学活动。这是一个小学生十分感兴趣的话题,教师可以在课前布置学生收集有关东西方节日风俗的资料,以保证学生在课堂上“有话想说,有话可讲。”教师在课堂上可采取轻松自由的交谈方式,引导学生运用新的语言表达方式谈论节日中人们的活动。这个单元中也涉及了一般过去时,在学习一种外语时,如果不了解该语言的内部规则,那将影响学生准确地用该语言交流。在前两单元中,学生对于一般过去时的变化已有所了解。本单元把过去所做的日常交际用语、词汇和语言结构结合起来,重点介绍了Whens?What do people usually do ?Did you ?及其应答。在教学中应鼓励学生用英语中的过去时介绍每个节日中人们及自己所做的事。并以西方国家的人进行对比。在本单元中应多采用分组讨论的学习方式,尽可能多让学生自主发言。二、 教学设计:(一) 教学目标:一1、 学习各个节日的名称,并了解相关文化背景及其习俗。2、 学习句型Whens?Its in 。What do people usually do on /at?They .Did you last?Yes, I do ./No,I didnt.(二) 教学重难点:1.如何节日的表述。 2.句型在日常交际中的运用。(三) 教学准备:图片、录音机、磁带、课件。(四) 教学过程: Step1.一、 Warming-up(1) Greeting T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you ! S: Hello, Miss kou . Nice to meet you !T: How are you ?S: Im fine.(2) Free talkT: What day is it today ?S: Its .S: What date is it today ?S: Its . (复习前面所学内容,并由旧知引出新知,让学生容易接受。)二、Presentation1.教师出示6月1日的日历。T: What date is it today ? S: Its the first of June.(由日期引出假期,在学生都了解得基础上导入新课内容。)T:Can you guess what holiday is it?S: Its Childrens Day.T: Yes.Its Children Day.(领读,齐读)(播放课件)T: Look ,what do people usually do on Childrens Day? S1:They are singing .S2:They are dancing .S3: They are having a party .T: Did you have a party last Childrens Day?_-引导学生说Yes,I did ./No , Ididnt.(由学生感兴趣的画面激发学生说英语的兴趣,有利于学生开口描述。)2.S: 2.同法教授National Day, May Day3.T:There are a lot of holidays in a year .Do you know the first holiday of a year is _(出示节日名,让学生选择)Whens New Years Day ?Its in.(出示日历)Ss:(录像,提示语)T:What do people usually do on New Years Day? (课前让学生准备材料,用于课上介绍) Easter is an important festival in western countries . Its in March or April . People usually make Easter eggs at Easter . They like to play with Easter eggs at the parties .
