Unit 4 A good read 教案课题: Reading 1教学目标:1.知识目标:学习词汇: against, tie, over, stomach, until, finger, tiny, continue, either, manage, lift, army, must, shoulder, unable学习词组: by the time, be tired out, be tied to, look down, the same size as, fall over, continue doing sth., begin doing/ to do sth., manage to do sth., a huge army of, run away, get away学习句子:After our ship crashed against the rocks, I swam as fast as I could.I woke up as the sun was rising. It moved up over my stomach and neck until it was standing near my face.However, they soon got up again and continued moving across my body. I did not know what to say either.I tried to pull one hand free and finally managed to break the ropes.Gulliver found himself unable to move. felt something on his leg. Gulliver shouted at the tiny men, but they did not care. 2. 技能目标:1) 读懂文章,对格列佛游记有初步的了解。2) 能够通过上下文猜测词义。3)理解句子之间的因果关系,增强整体阅读能力。3. 情感目标:激发学生阅读名著的兴趣。教学重点:理解句子之间的因果关系,增强整体阅读能力。根据上下文猜测单词的意思。教学难点:理解句子之间的因果关系,增强整体阅读能力。教学教具:录影机,多媒体,实物等。教学过程:Step1:预习指导与检测,见导学案。Step2:展示目标,见导学案。Step3:课堂导学与互动。 任务一:Lead-in 1. Do you like reading in your free time?2. Are you interested in reading stories?3. What stories have you read recently? Why do you like them? 任务二:PresentationWho is he?Have you read the book about Gulliver before?What happened to him?Can you say something about the story?(Gullivers Travels was written by the famous British writer Jonathan Swift. This novel tells us Gullivers amazing adventures in some countries, including Lilliput(小人国), Brobdingnag(大人国), Laputa(飞岛国) and Houyhnhnms(智马国). )任务三:Read the story quickly and answer:1. Which adventure does this extract belong to?A. Lilliput(小人国) B. Brobdingnag(大人国) C. Laputa(飞岛国)2. In this extract, who am “I”?A. Jonathan Swift B. Gulliver C. Sandy3. How many tiny people did “I” meet in the end?A. One. B. A few. C. A large number.任务四:Read the story again and match the words on the left with the meanings on the right (Part B1).任务五:Listen and finish Part B 2. Sandy wants to explain what happened to Gulliver. She wrote down some notes on a piece of paper, but her mother tore it up by mistake. Help her match the events with their causes.任务六:Sandy made some notes of Gullivers story. Help her check for mistakes. Write a T if a sentence is true or an F if it is false. If it is false, check the mistakes (Part B 3).任务七:Kitty is also interested in the story. She is asking Sandy about it. Watch and help Sandy answer her questions. (Part B 4).任务八:DiscussionOne of you is an interviewer. He wants to interview Gulliver about his trip. Work in groups, try to ask and answer at least five questions about the trip. Step 4总结提升。试着复述课文。Step5:
