Try Paris for a Holiday!Section BText B: Mystery Customers Are EverywhereSection CPractical Writing: Writing Christmas & Birthday Cards 教学活动安排建议Leading In and Exploring the Topicl Divide the class into five groups and assign one each group one of the following questions to discuss. Choose one student in each group to take down the notes. 1) What do new jobs mean to you?2) Do you know any new jobs in todays society? If yes, what are they? 3) What kind of new jobs do you want to take? 4) How well are you prepared for your future job?5) Have you ever done any new job in your spare time? If yes, what is it?l Ask the five note-takers to give an oral report about the discussion of their groups. Give the Ss helps where necessary.Section A Reading Throughl Prepare a PPT with all the new words and expressions on it and familiarize the Ss with them. l Show and explain the following questions about the content of Text A and ask the Ss to work in pairs and write down the answers to the questions while reading through the text.1) Where did Brain arrive at? Where would he go by plane?2) What was Brain wearing?What luggage did he have? 3) How did Brain get his ticket?4) What did Tony ask Brain to do?5) What is an air-courier?6) Why is air-courier an important job?7) What are the advantages and disadvantages of the job as an air-courier?8) Will air-couriers be popular in China? Why or why not?9) If given a chance, would you like to be an air-courier too? Why or why not?l Ask some pairs to share their questions and answers with the class. Give them help when necessary.l Finish the exercises of Getting the Message, Using the Right Word, Working with Expressions and Translating together with the Ss in class.Basic Writing Skillsl Prepare a PPT with sentences of the exercise on P154 of SB.l Ask some students to tell their answers to the class and explain why.l Check the understanding of the class by explaining the examples given on P154 of SB.Section B Reading Morel Prepare a PPT with Text B in which all the new words are in Chinese. Ask the Ss to translate all the new words while reading through the text. l Ask the Ss to work in pairs to find the answers to the following questions:1) What is a mystery customer?2) Is the job of a mystery shopper something fun? Why or why not?3) Why is it important for a mystery shopper to be exact?4) What does C.H.A.M.P.S. stand for?5) What high-tech devices are mystery shoppers armed with these days?6) What do mystery shoppers do as full-times and part-times?7) Why is it important for a mystery shopper to have the right look?l Finish the exercises of Getting the Message, Using the Right Word, Working with Expressions and Translating together with the Ss in class.Section C Practical Writingl Guide the Ss to finish the three exercises on P160 of SB according to the samples given.l Ask the Ss to find more typical English expressions often used in different cards and sha
