Unit12.Dont eat in class. Objectives:1. Ss can understand and use Imperatives , have to , can for permission to talk about rules.2. Ss can understand the Wall Design No+ n /doing.3. Ss can use can for permission, modal have to ,Imperatives to express the rules correctly by listening, speaking, reading and writing skills practice.4. Building Ss confidence by step by step approach and careful scaffolding.5. Helping Ss get to know that rules are important in our daily life.Period 1 (1a-2c Section A)Teaching contents: 1a-2c, can for permission ,ImperativesInstructional Objectives:1. Ss can pronounce and remember the new food words,such as rule, classroom, fight, outside.2. Be able to understand the expression of Imperative and use Imperative , can for permission to talk about rules correctly and naturally.Educational Objectives:1. Arousing Ss interest by real situations in their daily and encouraging them to talk about rules.2. Building their confidence by step by step approach and careful scaffolding.Focal Points:1.Understand and use Imperative , can for permission to talk about rules.2.Review can, cant for abilities.Difficult Points:Changing the different expressions of Imperative , can for permission to talk about rules correctly.Teaching Aids: Computer, PPT, Blackboard, Tape recorder Teaching Procedures and Teaching Procedures and Time Alotment: Stage1. Getting reading for learning.1. Exchanging greeting.2. Informal chatting. Such as the weather: Its a fine day to play sports.Stage 2.Presentation (22 Ms)Step1. Warming up. Let Ss watch a video about Ss real break life in the classroom and talk about the Ss activities: What are they doing? Do you love such a classroom?Step2. Review can, cant for abilities by asking Ss to talk about if they can play the guitar, play basketball. Then show the pictures for Ss to talk about Where? What? Help Ss to pronounce and learn the new words such as classroom, hallways, dining hall, fight, etc. Then help Ss to understand and answer can for permission. In this step, encourage Ss to talk about other activities they can do or can not do with can for permission.Step3.Then show the pictures of the activities for Ss to learn some school rules with Imperatives.Step4. Game:Pass the words in a low voice(传悄悄话).The first student in each group choose(抽选) a piece of paper with a school rule on it and read it and say it to the second in a low voice(低声地) ,then one by one.The last student in each group says it loudly(大声地).Then check if theyre right. eg.A B : Dont run in the classroom. B C :Dont run in the classroom. C D : .Step5. Grammar exercises:Ask some individual students to choose a piece of paper with a school rule on it with Imperative and read out.The other ss say We cant . Then Check the exercises on Ss Learning Paper.Stage3.Practice (10 Ms)Task 1.1a First Ill let Ss look at the picture carefully :In the classroom or hallway,there are 2 teachers,Mr Smith,Ms Clark and some ss.Discuss:If they are right,Why?Help Ss say He/She cant .in pairs.A:He/She cant.B:Dont.Finish 1a. Task2.1b.Let Ss predict Who is Selina first? Play the tape for Ss to finish 1b.After that,get Ss to talk about the three Ss,He cant. Can you.?What other rules do you have?Can you do these things in school?Task3. 2a.2b. First let Ss to talk about activities by discussing Can we.in our school?By this way help Ss to understand the meanings of the activities.Then play the tape for Ss to check what activities theyre talking about and circle what they can or can not do. Stage 4.Production (7 Ms)Task1.Groupwork.Talk about the school rules and do a report about Alex and Cindys school rules,and our school rules. Task2. Do and Check the exercises on Ss Learning Paper. Stage 5. Assigning homework. (1Ms) 1.Do the exercises after class on Ss Learning Paper.2.List at least 5 school rules in our school with can or cant
