Whats the date today? What day is it today? How is the weather? ) T divides the students into ten groups, four students in one group, each group stands for one food.( T: Four people in one group. Each group has one food. So you are pizza group. You are apple group. group stand up.) Step two: Presentation (7min)1. Present Ernie, a character of Sesame Street. He tells the children today is his birthday ,and welcomes the children to his party. (T: Today is Ernies birthday. Ernie welcomes us to the party. Do you want to go to Ernies birthday party? Ss: Yes. T: Now lets go to Ernies birthday.) 2. Golden eye. (T: Wow. What a big party. I am the hostess in the party. Wows There are so many foods. What food do you see?) 2. Present the key sentences by listening to the dialogue: Can I have a / an/ some? Yes. Here you are.(T: Do you know what Ernies favourite food? Listen to the dialogue)Step three: Practice (10min)1. Ask and answer. (3min)( I have some food here. What do you like? You can get your favourite food from me?)S1: Can I have an apple?T: Yes. Here you are.S1: Thank you.T: You are welcome.2. Group work. (5min)Read and classify the food words in group (Enable the students to tell the differences among “a”, “an” and “some”.)(T: In this party, we have three tasks. If you can finish the three tasks, you can get a surprise from Ernie. Task One. Take out this exercise sheet and task one envelope and classify the words in groups. Which group wants to come to the blackboard and classify the words?)3. Act out the dialogue. (6min)Four students in one group, read the dialogue of Ernie, and act the dialogue out。(T: You are so great. Task Two. Now lets have a group-work: one is Ernie, one is Bert, and take turns to act out the dialogue)Step four: Consolidation and extension (17min)1. Finish the form in groups.(10 min)(T: Task three. You collect nine food pictures and stick them under the words. When you finish the task, stick your form on the blackboard.)2. Sing a birthday song for Ernie (2 min) (T:At last.
