Ive heared you will return to American . is it true?D: No. Im going to stay in China this winter and experience the Spring Festival which is the most important festival to Chinese people. C: Thats Great! Do you have any plans for holiday ?D: I intend to visit some historic interests and scenic spots. A: Maybe you can come to celebrate the spring festival with my family.D: Can I?A: My parents would be happy to your attending. I believe you will love it. Though we live in downtown, we always spend Spring Festival in hometown.D: Wonderful! Id love to experience the traditional lunar New Year. Thatll must be exciting! C: D, do you know the Chinese New Year?D: Well,the next year is the year of dragon, children can obtain lucky money from their elders in the new year and you will eat dumplings. Thats what I got. B: Yes. In China There is too much traditional New Year food , including Chinese dumplings , spring rolls , noodles, whole fish, sticky rice cake and so ao .D: It must be delicious. I also hear you will let off firecrackers in the spring festival according to fairy tale, for driving a demon away. A : Yes, you are right .The festival is celebrated grandly and extensively across the country. Various cultural activities such as dragon dancing, lion dancing and other traditional performances, are arranged in parks and streets, in cities and towns.D: Wow! That will never be missing. I am looking forward to enjoy these wonderful performances.C: Before the festival ,we need do some preparations. Every family thoroughly cleans the house, sweeps the floors and washes daily things. Windows and doors are decorated with red paper-cuts and couplets.B: House cleaning is believed to drive away ill-fortune and bring good luck in the coming year. We will eat the dinner on New Years Eve and watch the Spring Festival Gala Evening.B: Lucky money is given to children with the hope that it will bring them good luck.
