Learn new words “suggest, staff” and useful expression “pass by”b. Learn the objective clauses with wh-question I wonder where we should go next.Excuse me, do you know where we can get some food quickly?Can you tell me when the band starts playing this evening?2. Ability goal能力目标Train students reading English ability and speaking English ability.Teach students to learn how to ask for information politely in English.3. Emotion 、attitude and value goals情感、态度和价值观目标Encourage students to be polite persons and love helping other people.Teaching emphasis教学重点:The objective clauses定语从句Teaching preparing教学准备:班班通设备、畅言教学系统、电子课本、 幻灯片PPT教学内容和学习者分析本课时重点内容是3a部分,这是上一课时2d部分的继续,省去了教师介绍阅读背景和话题语境。3a部分是一个长篇对话,也属于阅读语篇,目的是训练学生的阅读能力。九年级学生经过两年的英语学习,已具备了一定的阅读能力,可还需要教师指导,教会他们如何把握重点,学习口语表达。Teaching procedure:Step 1 Revision (6 minites)First, greeting as usual.Then the teacher shows PPT 1 and PPT2 by the computer.T: Do you know how to ask questions politely? Look at the sentence patterns. Who can make some sentences? Ask several students make sentences, revise the sentence patterns last class.The teacher shows PPT 3, PPT 4, PPT 5, have students revise how to ask questions politely and reply.Step 2 New lesson Learn activity 3a (25minutes)Before reading the conversation, the teacher read the questions, let students understand them. Then have students read the conversation quickly by themselves.A few minutes later, the teacher show 3as PPT, explains some words and useful expressions. Write new words and some useful expressions on the blackboard in order to let students remember clearer. Read new words after the teacher.Then ask several students to answer the questions. PPT Shows the questions and answers. Check the answers.Have students listen to the conversation carefully, let students read after it.Finally, divide students into two groups, one group is boys , the other group is girls. Ask two groups to role- play the conversation.Step 3 Practice Activity 3b (5 minutes)First, show 3bs PPT, let students understand 3bs request.Then let students look at the example, and finish the activity individually. The teacher moves around the classroom and offers help as need.Ask several students to say their answers. Praise the student who does well. Finally, PPT show the answers.Step 4 Grammar The objective clauses (7 minutes)The teacher shows PPT 11 and PPT 12, explains the objective clauses and writes three important sentence patterns on the blackboard:I wonder where/if.Could you please tell me when/where/if? Excuse me,do you know how to get to?T: Now, lets do some exercise.Show PPT 13 and PPT 14.Encourage students to hand up and say their answers. Check the answers.Step 5 Summarize and homework (2 minutes)T: We have learned one conversation and the objective clauses. Look at the blackboard .I wish all of you revise them after class.
