Personal ReflectionName_ 汪潇 St. No. 12095148 Score_As the old saying, “Four eyes see more than two.” Our team of 5 people finished the final homework of the advanced business studies eventually after a weeks efforts, from which I have learnt a lot.TeamworkThe most important is teamwork. Faced with a business plan of a company, we were at a loss from the outset without any experience. Thanks to the fact that its the group work and the time limitation has been extended. Then we quickly put ourselves into the heated discussion about how to finish the task. Obviously, we need to determine the respective tasks at first. Then the problem came up: will we divide the plan into 16 sections as the model? We studied the sections seriously together. Several schemes were put forward. Considering all the advantages and disadvantages, we voted the best scheme. Thats to say, section 8 and 9 were combined together. So did the section 11 and 13. About the rest parts, 2 sections per person and group discussion for 2 sections. After the sectionalization, we began our tasks immediately. The second process was not easy because I had to complete it by myself. Through various methods, we all finished within the stipulated time. The next to do was to examine 5 peoples work and to find the obvious mistakes. We chose to inspect other peoples work in turn. After that, we listed mistakes one by one. As a result, many ridiculous errors were found out. Apart from correcting errors, we also discovered that different people had different ideas on the development vision of our company before the discussion. So according to these phenomena, we had the most lasting, most meaningful meeting, consulting issues like how to extend the domestic market, how to appeal to the most selective customers and so on. During the meeting, I really felt as like I was the important role in the company and we must be responsible for the companys future. Maybe its the sense of accomplishment. We finalized the last business plan of our company after gathering information, heated discussion, citing and setting examples. When the papers were printed out, everyone of our team felt proud. Its our common masterpiece. We all experienced the power of teamwork, which can turn “impossibles” into “possibles”. Just as doing homework, in reality, we also need teamwork in many aspects. The core of teamwork spirit is the cooperation. Players win football games or basketball games through cooperation; employees push the company forward through cooperation; politicians help the country develop fast through cooperation From the ancient time to the modern society, wherever in the earth, cooperation is imperative. Though the comment that nowadays the keen competition is almost everywhere is true, its not contradictory with the spirit of cooperation. That means, only we are furnished with both the sense of cooperation and competition, can we own the bright future in the modern society. After this study task, I believe this idea more firmly. Meanwhile, it will be practiced as my motto.E-commerce Besides teamwork, I have more lessons from the study. In the second step, I was responsible for section 10: e-commerce. However, this part is not included in the book. Then how I finish the part? In my memory, I have learnt some basic knowledge of e-commerce. Its “Business Communication Among Multi-cultures”, Mss Shans subject. I ransack boxes and chests, and finally I found several papers on this course. I tried to recollect some key points but the result was not satisfactory. I seemed to often distract in the class for its vapidity. Then I wrote down what was useful from the paper and all I can remember. But apparently, it was far from enough. When I thought over what should be included in this section, my roommate recommended me a book “International Trade Practice”. I looked through this book and found that there was a chapter introducing e-commerce. It was really a great help for me. I studied this chapter myself again and again. Taking the plan into account, I made my best endeavor to link the information offered by this book to what I need in the business plan. And to my joys, I succeeded. I elaborated the basic concept of e-commerce and its popularity in recent market. Theres no doubt that e-commerce should be applied to our operation of the company. The advantages and explanation of it were clear out, but what about its specific uses? I have not any experience about the application of e-commerce so it was difficult for me to put it into use. Heaven never seals off all the exits. Thanks to the Internet, I can continue my business plan. Searching on the Internet, I looked for a large amount of information about the examples. Many companies have set e-commerce as an essential part of their operation. Some come to success but some fail. With so much data and information, I completed the rest part of this section. Not only so much, other group members gave some suggestions and I accepted. Then I revised the plan a little. At last, it was done anyway. From this period, I overcame my fear successfully. It is the first step that costs troublesome. In another word, all things are hard before they are easy. So honestly speaking, I put off this task for some time. Somehow, in my mind, the beginning was a big challenge for me, which made me feel like escaping away. But once when I realized the time was running out, I was determined to put my hand to the job. It is what I want to say, never hesitate to do what should be done for the moment. Do not be defeated by the enemy in my image. As long as I start up, I may find it is not as hard as I thought. Maybe it is the common shortcoming of m generationdeadline generation. We always put off the scheduled work, even without any reasons. In our minds, it can be done more efficiently if the task is delayed to the limit, because at that moment, our potential can be exploded out. But now, I don not think so anymore. It is just the excuse we find for our slack. It shows that we are just children, not mature enough. I am happy that I become convinced through this course. Once making a decision, I will try to embrace it and make efforts to realize it no matter how difficult it is.Marketing Maybe study is really an interesting thing. At least, I admit this point from this task. In the section of e-commerce, I had to collect all the possible information via different kinds of channels. But in the next section, it was a totally opposite part. For the fact that there is a chapter explaining marketing in details in the book, I can select any information I need. But when I found the fact, I met problems again. Marketing research, segmentation, product portfolio analysis, product life cycle, marketing objectives and strategy and so on, these are all the contents of this chapter. It seemed all this substance was related to my section. But it was impossible to write all these out, which means I had to get rid of some contents and selected some more suitable. It is involved another shortcoming again. Im always irresolute either on trifles or on big things. This time, the same thing happened again. Then I turned to my friends. They suggested that what I know most is the easiest to set about, which reminded me a lot. Then I referred to the book several times to choose the right contents. Later I suddenly realized if I can change the thinking way, maybe I can find the answer quickly. Since the hardest component was solved, the rest seemed easier. Its inevitable that there are many sideways in the road, so I must learn to choose. Each way has its unique views. Most of us are too desirous of more impressive sceneries to make a c
