Enable Ss(students) to listen, speak, read and write the words: mirror, curtain, closet, end table, trash bin. 2. Ss can listen, speak and read the word air- conditioner and sentences: Is this your .? I have . Ability aim: Ss can use the words and sentences mentioned above to describe their own rooms.Emotion aim: Cultivate Ss interests of learning English. Main point: The teaching of the six four skills words. Difficult point: The pronunciation of air- conditioner.Teaching aids: Tape and recorder, multimedia.Teaching steps:Step 1. Warm up.1. Daily dialogue practice.T: How are you today?Ss: .T: Today Im your new English teacher. Are you happy?Ss: .T: Im very happy to have the chance. I hope you are all active in class. Dont be shy or nervous.2. Review the words: bedroom, bathroom, living room, study, kitchen, door, chair, window, desk and bed.3. Listening to the song My small bedroomStep2. Presentation.1. T(teacher) shows the word bedroom ,then says: Look, this is my bedroom. What can you see in my room? Ss try to say the things in the bedroom according to the courseware.2. Use the courseware and teaching cards to teach the new words: mirror, end table, closet, trash bin. Meanwhile, T writes the words on the board, Ss write on the exercise-book. 3. To consolidate the four words. (Ss guess)4. Use the same way to teach the left two words: curtain, air- conditioner.5. Go back to the textbook. Listen to the tape Lets learn, Ss repeat.Step 3. Practise. 1. Practise the sentences: Is this your bedroom? Yes, it is./ No, it isnt. In my room I have a mirror, a trash bin. 2. Lets play. S1: In my room I have a trash bin. S2: In my room I have a trash bin, a mirror. S3: . 3Lets chant. Step 4. Consolidation.Step 5.
