Read carefully and find out the phrases in the article . What was the weather like before the heavy rain started? What were Bens parents doing before the rainstorm came ? What was Ben doing when the rain began ? What did Ben s family try to do after dinner? Did they have fun ? How was the neighborhood(社区) after the storm ? What did Ben s family do after the storm ? What did the writer think of the rainstorm? 设计意图:通过问题的提示将文章的脉络串联起来利于学生思考并且做到熟练的复述课文。Step IV Discussion Let students discuss what other things can bring people closer together .Then show the pictures of earthquake and flood on the screen to help students to discuss the question . 设计意图 :联系生活实际将文章主题范围进行拓展延伸让学生更加深刻的意识到生活中确实存在很多需要帮助的困难,为下面的情感教育做好铺垫。Step V Play a video Get students to watch a video and after that ask them how we can help each other in times of difficulty . 设计意图:通过观看视频,从视觉和听觉两个方面去触动学生的心扉,从而达到深化主题思想(危难中,我们要互帮互助共同面对困难),进行情感教育的目的。Step VI Summary According to the sentences on the blackboard to tell the differences between when and while .Students summarize firstly ,then the teacher corrects if
