unit 2 healthy eating period 2 come and eat here(1)教材分析:本单元以“healthy eating”为中心话题,reading部分主要讲述了王鹏和雍慧开餐馆竞争的故事。王鹏的饭店最近生意不好,他尾随老顾客到了雍慧的餐馆,发现雍慧提供的食物很简单,由于雍慧称她的食物能帮助顾客减肥,所以吸引了许多顾客。王鹏到图书馆查阅资料发现自己和雍慧的餐馆所提供的食物都存在片面性,自己餐馆所提供的食物脂肪太多,而雍慧的太少,虽然能帮助顾客减肥,但不能提供足够的热量。而自己的餐馆却能弥补这个不足。文章最后一句“the competition between the two restaurants was on!”给读者留下了悬念,引发学生继续读故事的兴趣和欲望。学情分析:由于所教的班级是新接手的一个班级,学生基础比较薄弱,词汇量少,对自己信心不足,正是这一点导致学生上课比较被动,能主动回答问题和对某问题阐述自己的观点的同学很少。另外学生的阅读习惯和阅读方法的欠缺导致学生对文章的理解特别是对主题的理解存在一定的问题。 教学目标:1知识目标:掌握一些常见的食物词汇的表达和对情态动词的运用作进一步的了解。 2能力目标:进一步 训练学生略读、找读 、细读 对比等阅读技巧,把握文章中心内容,获取关键信息,能复述预测故事的发展及结局。让学生学会谈论不同的食物和辨别健康的食物和饮食。 3情感目标:通过阅读丰富学生的饮食文化,教会他们如何改善饮食习惯;同时培养他们养成良好的饮食习惯;在现实生活中碰到麻烦时,如何正确处理矛盾,解决问题。教学重难点:1教学重点:通过引导学生略读,找读、细读,对比阅读,把握文章的主题,获取文章的主要信息。 2 教学难点:帮助学生怎样更好地获取文章信息及复述文章故事。教学课时:1课时教学过程:step 1 warming up(10minutes)guessing games :ask one student to guess the names of food, the others describe the food with the patterns: it is a kind of,whose colour is;its shape is. students can use modal verbs to answer it : it may be ;it must be.after doning it ,ask them to decide which is healthy and which is unthealthy.design idea:in the first period ,students have learnt some words about food. the guessing game helps students master them better and know better about healthy food and unhealthy food.on the other hand they can know better about the grammar of this unit:modal verbs.step2 skimming (3minutes)look at the title of the reading passage and the pictures. predict what the passage is about.(design idea:by reading the title and the pictures in the passage ,students can learn the ability of master the main idea of this passage.)step3:scanning (6minutes)1.read the text quickly to choose the main idea of the text.(c)a. the two restaurants supplied the healthy food.b. the reason why yong huis restaurant was so popular with customers.c. wang peng found out why he had lost his customers and decided to win them back.2.match the general idea of each part(guide the students to find out key words and sentences or pay attention to the first sentences of each paragraph to get the main idea and the structure of the text. )part 1 wang peng found the reason why his customers had gone to yong huis restaurant to eat.part 2 wang peng felt frustrated because he found his customers had gone to other places to eat.part 3 wang peng thought out a good idea to win his customers back.(design idea:by doing this, i will train the students for fast reading skills to improve the students reading ability and let the students understand the general idea of each part.this is a very important part in reading. only by mastering the main idea of each paty and the whole passage, can students understand the passage better.)step 4 careful reading(10minutes)read the passage carefully and fill in the following blanks(divide the students into three groups, each group complete one part.)part1:emptyfeeling: he sat in his restaurant_ very _.menu:_ _ _ _ .something_ must have happened if he was not coming to_ as he always did. part2:fulla lady: her name is _, she was standing in the front of restaurant to_ her _. menu: there were only _just _, _ vegetables ,_ and _.price: it costs _ a good meal in _restaurantpart3:descisionwang peng decided not to have yong hui_ it for telling customers_.step5 summary :retelling the story(8minutes)this is a story about the competition between two .wang peng sat in his restaurant feeling very _ because his regular customers did not _ to his restaurant as they _ did. he felt very strange. he _ his friend to a newly opened restaurant _ offered to make people _ in _ weeks. the new restaurant was _ of customers. worried, he did some research and tried to _ his customers _.the between the two restaurants was !(design idea :because students in my class are in different levels, first i let them fill in the blanks to get the general idea of the text.then ill ask the students to retell the story in their own words.)step6 homework(1minute)1 retell the story using the first person.2. prepare for the language learning and
