Show students some pictures.Present the new words &expressions: toy bear, soft toy, board games, scarf, and bread maker. Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions like the following: Do you have a How long have you had it? Which one will you give away? Why? Which one will you keep? Why?Step 3 While-listeningListen and check() the things Amys family are giving away and circle the things they are keeping. Discuss their answers with their partners.Invite some students to tell their answers to the class.Listen for the second time and check the answers.Listen for the third time and fill in the blanks. Step 4 Post-listeningWork in pairs. Student A is Amys mom. Student B is Amy. Make conversations. For example:A: Amy, can we give away these soft toys?B: Mom, I want to keep the bear.A: Why? Its so old.B: Because I have had it since I was a baby. Step 5 2dLead-in: Amy and her mom have decided to give away some of their things.
