Teaching Aids(1) A blackboard.(2) A computer for multimedia use.时序Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Greetings Greet the class as usual .Step 2 Lead-inShow the pictures of some places of interest , such as Eiffel Tower , LondonBridge , the Statue of Liberty , Merlion etc . on the screen . Make a brief introduction of Singapores culture Step 3 Free talking 1. Show a short video about Singapore to the students . Ask them to watch the video and then answer the following question : What have you known about Singapore ? 2. Lead students to talk freely: What do you want to know about Singapore before you go there ? 3. Show a map of Singapore , and lead them to find where it is .Step 4 Fast reading Play the recording of the passage , and ask students listen carefully and read the passage quickly . And then ask them to use one word to summarize the main idea of each paragraph Step 5 Careful reading 1. Ask students to read the first paragraph carefully , and answer the following questions : (1) Where is Singapore ? (2) What language do people speak in Singapore ? (3) Why can we speak Chinese in Singapore ? (4) Can we speak English there ? Why ? 2. Ask students to read the second paragraph carefully , and answer the following questions : (1) Can we find any Chinese food there ? (2) What kind of Chinese food can we find there ? (3) Can we try any kind of new food there ? (4) What kind of new food can we find ? 3. Ask students to read the third paragraph carefully , and fill in the blanks . (1) Singapore has a special zoo called _. (2) A lot of animals _ at night, so this is_ to watch them.(3)At the zoo, you can watch lions, tigers, and foxes in a _than in a normal zoo.(4) Show a video of the night safari in Singapore so that students will be able to have a better understanding of it . 4. Ask students to read the fourth paragraph carefully , and answer the following questions : (1) What is the weather like in Singapore ?
