What animal is it?Ss: Its an elephant.T: Yes, its great.【设计意图】以游戏的形式复习It is/It has got/It lives/eats/Its fur is/等句型。Step 2 presentation1 出示翠鸟的图片并提问：What animal is it?引导学生学习相关单词:kngfisher,dirty,them,problem,nest,riverbank,quiet,so,build,change. 【设计意图】带领学生学习短文中涉及到的单词。2 播放录音，学生初步感知短文内容。引导学生用学过的句型描述kingfisher的生活习性。【设计意图】引导学生初步感知文本。3 采用分段方式，借助图片，再次播放录音，引导学生充分理解文本第一部分：kingfishers are beautiful birds.they live in many countries of the word.
