Unit 1 Playing SportsTopic 3 The school sports meet is coming第一课时(Section A-1a, 1b, 3,2a, 2b,)教学设计思路:本节课主要活动为Section A 的1a和2b。通过Yu Ting 和Li Ming关于各自在即将举办的学校运动会中参加的项目的讨论,学习will表示一般将来时的用法。首先学生观察1a图片,预测对话内容,听1a完成1b填空并核对答案;然后听3部分,进一步熟悉与学校运动会相关的语言知识;接着通过2a的范例和2b的提示信息,运用所学词汇、语法和功能进行练习。学习情况分析:班级整体水平分析:全班共67个学生,男生46人,女生21人,学生整体学习习惯不太好,学生英语口语能力差,学生不爱读和说英语。整体的学习水平参差不齐。对于基础知识,同学们普遍掌握的不够扎实,对关于发表自己的间意见与感觉的能力就更差了。普遍学习不够积极不够主动。在这个班里学困生较多,他们的基础量特别差,有许多最基础的知识和方法及能力都没有,基本的分析能力也欠缺。学习习惯更是极差,上课回答问题不主动,和老师互动能力差,在老师和同学的帮助下,虽然有些进步,但是学习仍然缺乏自学性,主动性。. Teaching aimsKnowledge aims:(1)能正确运用以下短语进行书面表达:the boys 800-meter race, be in the long jump, have lots of fun, prepare for,make many fiends, make friends with sb.等。 (2) 能正确地理解下列句子和短语:The school sports meet is coming.the coming school sports meet(3)能正确理解并运用will将来时,能运用will进行造句。2. Skill aims: (1)能听懂有关运动会项目的名称及相关话题。(2)能熟练地运用will引导的将来时谈论有关运动会的话题。(3)能正确朗读介绍运动会项目的对话或文章。(4)能用will将来时介绍自己或朋友在运动会中参加的项目。3. Emotional aims:通过学习Yu Ting 和Li Ming积极上进的对话内容,鼓励学生要积极参与学校集体活动,培养自己乐观、自信、乐于合作的优良品质。. The key points and difficult points1. Key points:the boys 800-meter race, be in the long jump, have lots of fun, prepare for,make many friends, make friends with sb.等短语的理解及运用。 2. Difficult points: (1). be going to和will的不同。(2). The school sports meet is coming.与the coming school sports meet 的正确理解和运用。. Learning strategies 1. 培养学生提前搜集信息的习惯,搜集有关运动会的项目名称。2. 培养学生善于运用采访收集信息的习惯,愿意就运动会话题进行提问采访。. Teaching aids计算机多媒体投影仪V. Teaching proceduresStage 1(6mins):Greeting and warming up StepTeacher activityStudent activityDesigning purpose1(Class activity)Get students ready for learning.Play a game.Draw a line on the ground, and the six students stand at the same line and do the long jump to see who are the furthest three students.T: Good morning, everybody! Before class, lets play a game. It is like this T:“The jump race is exciting, and the jumpers are excited.”Do you know the difference between exciting and excited?T: So clever! Focus their attention on the teacher.The six students stand at the line and begin to jump. The furthest three students will get praise. Ss: Good morning, MissSs: Hooray!S1:Exciting is to describe things, and excited is to describe people.该部分旨在帮助学生放松心情和引起学生注意,为学习新内容做好准备。 2(Class work)Let the students to write the names of sports activities on the blackboard.Some volunteers write the information they have collected on the blackboard and they will be awarded as “super girl” or “super boy”. Other students look at the names, trying to guess their corresponding Chinese names. Stage 2(3mins):Pre-listening StepTeacher activityStudent activityDesigning purpose ( Individual work )Lead in 1a.Show the picture in 1a on the screen and ask students one question.T:What are you going to do this weekend?T:Why?T:Which sport are you going to take part in?Ask the students to read passage in 1b and try to guess the missing part.Look at the pictures of 1a on the screen.S1:Im going to practice running.S2:Because Im going to take part in the school sports meet.S3:Im going to take part in the long jump.Ss :the school sports meetRead through 1b and predict the missing words.Remark:Stage 3(15mins):While-listening StepTeacher activityStudent activityDesigning purpose1(Individual work)Finish 1b Play the recording for the first time without stopping.Play the recording for the second time and stop when necessary.T: Id like three students to tell us their answers, then another students to correct the wrong parts.Listen to 1a and try to catch the general idea of the dialogue and write down the missing words .Fill in the blanks that they havent finished yet and then check the answers.Volunteers tell their answers , and another three volunteers correct the answers. All the volunteers will get scores.Ss:take part in,800-meter race, long jump,cheer on,exciting该部分的目的在于进行语言输入,让学生从听力材料中了解will表示一般将来时的用法并获取有关询问和表达意愿和打算的表达法。2(Individual work)Explain some points. T:How to understand the following points?T: The school sports meet is coming. How to understand“is coming”?T: the boys 800-meter race .What kind of structure is 800-meter? Play the recording without stopping twice.T:I will play the recording in 1a sentence by sentence. Please listen carefully, pay attention to your pronunciation and the intonation.Volunteers help the teacher solve the problems. They will be awarded 5 scores no matter how they explain, even they may explain in Chinese.S1:“is coming”,Continuous tense here, refers the future tense, which means “will come quickly”.S2:800-metre is a compound adjective structure.Read with the recording twice, trying to follow the speed.Read the dialogue after the recording sentence by sentence.Try to follow the speed, paying attention to the pronunciation and the intonation.该部分旨在让学生总结发现一些语法现象,从而加深对知识点的记忆。3(Class work)Ask the students to look through A in 3, and then play the recording for one or two times. Finish 3.Check the students answers, asking two students to write their answers on the blackboard. Correct the mistakes in class.Look through the exercises in A, and then listen to the recording carefully. Finish 3.Two students write the answers on the blackboard.Remark:该部分的学习不应只停留在听的层面上。在完成听力任务之后,教师应组织学生表演对话从而加深印象,为语言输出作准备。另外,教师还可以让学生跟着录音读对话,关注语音语调。Stage 4(11mins):Post-listeningStepTeacher activityStudent activityDesigning purpose1(Pair work)Organize the students to practice 1a in pairs. Then three pairs will do the performances.Show differences between “be going to do” and “will do” by showing some exercises.Practice the dialog in pairs.Do the exercises, guess the function of “be going to ” and “will”.2(Class work)Start on 2aT:There are four pictures about sports activities. You can easily tell what kind of sports they are. Then you have to match the school interviews with the pictures. Read the school interviews and match them with the pictures.Ss: A-C-B-D3(pair work)Organize the students to practice 2b in pairs. Ask every pair to do the performance.T:Its time for you to work in pairs. Now you can make up conversations based on the information in 2a. The following expressions may help you .Make up dialog in pair, according to 2b.S1:I hear you will take part in the school sports meet.S2:Yes.S1: Will you take part in the relay race?S2:No,Im not good at it . S1:What will you do in the sports meet?S2:Ill be in the high jump .S1:Wonderful!Ill come to cheer you on .S2:Thank you !该部分主要通过仿编对话、访谈的活动形式,发展学生读和说的能力,兼顾语言输入和输出,帮助学生在应用的过程中巩固will表示一般将来时的用法。Remark:2a部分可让学生先看图片、进行预测,再阅读文字、进行搭配。2b部分学生在完成对话仿编后要反复练习对话,如果时间充裕可让学生将对话写下来。Stage 5(5mins):Summarizing and assigning HMKStepTeacher activityStudent activityDesigning purpose1(Class activity)Summarize the main points in Section A.T: OK. Class will be over soon, Now lets summarize what we have learnt in this lesson. Summarize Section A with the teacher S1: We learned how to use the structure of “ will do” S2: For example, I will take part in the next school sports meet. S3: We knew some sports activities, Such as, the relay race, the long jumpS4: We have known the difference between “be going
